The Kaffe Fassett Exhibition

I had a wonderful day out last week - we went to the American Museum, just outside Bath, which is only a couple of hours away from us.  I particularly wanted to go as they have a Kaffe Fassett exhibition running at the moment (until 2nd November I think) and I really have a weakness for his work and I love his use of colour.  I certainly wasn't disappointed - all I could hear as I walked round were other people besides myself saying Wow and Ooh!
Here are some photos I took of the exhibition.
I'm sharing this post with Mary over at Mosaic Monday - I was sad to hear this week will be the last one - a huge thank you Mary, and I hope you find much enjoyment in your new endeavours!

I think the lime green area had to by my favourite - I fell in love with the cabbage leaf teapot!

Such a riot of colour!

  2. I just love Kaffe's work! I've been a fan since the beginning with his first knitting book! His use of color is absolutely fabulous and he was the first one to use bold colors, and lots of them! Your pictures are wonderful and really capture the beauty of his work! Lucky you to have seen the exhibit!

  8. Oooooooohhhhh......... I've just GOT to go and see this! Thanks for the heads up. My sister is taking Mum off our hands for a couple of weeks in Sept. and I've just suggested to my hubby that we go - one of our nephews lives in Bath, and we also have lovely friends in Weston-super-Mare and she's just completed her City & Guilds embroidery and would love to go too, I am sure! Kaffe has been one of the major inspirations in my creative life and I simply adooooooore his work!!!

  9. Just to let you know we managed to get to the Kaffe Fassett exhibition yesterday, and I have just uploaded my blog post about it, if you want to see my take on it. I am still reeling from the colour blast, and we had such a great time immersing ourselves in this incredible man's talent. Thank you so much for posting about it because I doubt if I'd have heard about it otherwise, and I'd have kicked myself from here to the New Year if I'd missed it!!
