Lilac Blossom

It's that wonderful time of year again when the lilac is in bloom.
The scent is intoxicating and the colour is heavenly.
For a very  short time the straggly, ugly shrub is transformed - and it is well worth the wait!

I am linking up with Judith for Mosaic Monday over at Lavender Cottage.

  2. Beautiful! Lilacs are one of my favorite flowers. I remember a bush we had in our garden when I was a young child. I just loved them for their beautiful color and shape and their fragrance!

  3. Oh, how beautiful! Lilacs do have a wonderful fragrance, and one can almost feel it seeing your photos.
Ours don't have even buds of leaves yet... so we'll have to wait. *sigh*
Thank you for the lovely photos and have a nice new week!

  7. I am trying to wait patiently for our lilacs when I see them in bloom for other bloggers. Do you know the name of this one? Such a delicate pinky-mauve colour.

  11. Oh, how beautiful! And of course your wonderful photography doesn't hurt. I have serious lilac envy, as they don't grow well here.
