Christmas Cards

After a couple of weeks break I'm back and busy making Christmas cards.
However much I hate using glitter, I really think the cards needed it - I'll probably be cleaning up the sparkly stuff well into the summer by the look of my studio!

Please excuse the quality of the photographs - I shall re-do them if we get better weather!
I am linking up with Julia over at WOYWW.

  1. Hi Diana, these cards are gorgeous. Sorry to upset your plans but if you are like me and need to send many through the post you are going to need some flatties too. I would love to see some of them when they are made. The funny thing is that I find them harder to make as you have to be very clever with embellishments and all Christmas cards need that little something special. Take care and happy woyww, Angela x 19

  6. Oh wow, Diana, I think these must be the most beautiful Christmas cards I've ever seen... Whoever receives them is going to be knocked sideways! Each one must take an age to do, so I hope your card list isn't too long...

Thank you for your sensitivity and understanding - your comment was so lovely. Yes, it's been a rollercoaster of a year in every way, and now that it is all over I've got to allow myself time to adjust to everything. I am utterly exhausted today which is probably a reaction, and I still don't feel like throwing my hat in the air at the good news!! My own reaction to it is another factor in the equation that has to be dealt with because I have really surprised myself by reacting as I did...Thank you for the hug, and I am sure that in time I shall be fine again and bouncing back!!

    Happy WOYWW,

  7. Your cards are gorgeous! I love the colors and the way you put all the elements together! My daughter hates glitter and won't use it unless a design absolutely calls for it! Sometimes a project just needs some sparkle!
Have fun with all your Christmas projects, Diana!

  22. The colours are glorious, bringing such warmth and in actual fact your backgrounds bring to mind textiles or textured/flocked wallpaper. The cards are so tactile I wish I could reach out and run my fingers over them. They are each so perfectly embellished with the gathering of elements you brought together.

  26. I love the dimension and texture of the cards. This the season for glitter, whether we like it or not. I think we all have a love- hate relationship with it. In July when you're still vacuuming it up I hope you can laugh about it. Your work is always gorgeous. I am in awe of your talent. Diane 22

  27. Wow, your cards are so beautiful. I kind of agree with you about the glitter, though. I hate (HAAAAAAATE) glitter, but it does add a certain "something." I think it would look good as an accent on these.
