Spring Garden Embroideries

I've been busy making some tiny little embroideries for Spring.  I used some eco prints I made last summer and some bits of old tapestry.
They are mounted in tiny little antique photo album pages, only about 3" across.

On my desk this morning is this lovely bundle that my good friend Lynn from One I Made Earlier Today sent me - she sent instructions on how to make the little bow and also how to cover buttons without a button covering gadget.  I love the book mark made with that gorgeous batik fabric - thank you so much Lynn!

I am linking up with Julia over at What's On Your Work Desk Wednesday.

  1. I recognise those little frames! I still love my miniature work of art, it's on my window sill upstairs, so I see it all the time :-). More amazing details in those tiny embroideries, I love the way you use different textures to build up the picture. gorgeous! Nice bundle of stuff from Lynn too 💖💖

  2. Those frames are fab! What a lovely way to repurpose them. There must be something in the air - I've been working in miniature too - I've made tiny little sheep collages about 3 x 4 cm big. Despite their small stature I found they still took an age to finish! Thanks for sharing, these are lovely. Happy crafting, max #29 :-)

  7. I always know I will see something exquisite when I visit your blog, Diana! Love your mini artwork in the frames! Great booty from Lynn as well! I've always loved that irregular stitching style - perhaps because that's the only way I can do it myself, LOL! Have lovely week! zsuzsa #35

  22. These are SO sweet! I had to measure 3" with my finger to absorb how small they actually are! And leave it to you to have pieces of old tapestry around. Great use of your eco prints as well, I wouldn't have thought of it.

  29. These are amazing, Diana - love the frames from the old photo album - a most unusual use for them! Thank you for your visit and your lovely comment - the kitties were funny, remembering their own kitty castle, but they haven't played with this one since. It's going to it's new home tomorrow and we hope that the new little kitties will enjoy playing with it as much as ours did theirs. It's lovely to be singing again. The way it went on Sunday is giving me my confience back too! Thank you for your good wishes - my hospital appointment went well and my surgeon is very pleased with me. I'm seeing the oncologist on 2nd June and they want me to have another scan at the end of the year. I know what you mean about time - it's weird how it plays tricks, isn't it! I can't believe I've had Kermit for over a year, and finished my chemo 7 months ago - in some ways it seems like yesterday and in others, as if it all happened a lifetime ago!

    Happy belated WOYWW,
