Pine Cone Christmas Cards

A couple more Christmas cards to share.
I managed to find some nice deep envelope boxes at
noordesign-shop.co.uk  that are ideal for those of us who forget to 'think thin' when card-making!!

Merry Christmas and a very happy, healthy
and creative New Year to one and all.

This week I'm linking up with the deskers over at the Stamping Ground.

  2. I'm going to commission you next year Diana to make something like that top card but bigger and in a box frame! Please say yes! The cards are absolutely gorgeous, the details, as ever, are exquisite. Thank you for your lovely card to me as well, it's now blu-tacked onto our lounge doors in pride of place :-)
Thanks to you as well for your support and lovely comments this year, hope 2018 is just as good!

  7. So full of texture and dimension - nordic and rustic! Yes, those cards will definitely need envelope boxes - you know, you can easily make your own with a scoreboard! I've just discovered this myself, so I'll never have to buy envelopes or gift boxes again! Wishing you a lovely Christmas, Diana! zsuzsa #18

  10. Hi Diana, wow - they are works of art, not cards! I can understand the need for boxes rather than envelopes. They really are magnificent, thank you for sharing them with us. Best wishes for a wonderful Christmas, Heather #32

  11. I don’t know anyone that uses white like you do Diana, it’s so not a negative ‘colour’ in your hands. Hope you and the Mr are gearing up for a lovely holiday season.Happy Christmas!

  12. Hi Diana! I'll copy my reply here about the score board as I'm not sure you'll see it on my blog:
I think you can do any size envelopes and envelope boxes if you work with a big enough size paper. The guidelines on my scoreboard suggest 9.5" X 9.5" paper for a card 6" X 6" but it can go up to 10.5" X 10.5" in size if using 16" X 16" paper. There are lots of instructions on YT. I've even made a shadow box the other day with just one 12" X 12" sheet of paper. You can also make gift boxes. It's a really useful tool to have!

  13. Hi Diana, more gorgeous cards! I must say I do try to keep my Christmas cards slim as I have to post most of them but these do look extra special with the lovely embellishments. Thanks for the visit to mine and have a good woyww and a lovely Christmas too, Angela x8x

  15. Both are stunning Diana, love the colouring and how you used the dies! Those piecones add such a lovely natural touch! I managed to keep all of my cards slim this year, but in the past have made the envelopes required to send fatter ones myself, having said that, it's good to know where to get some, so thanks for that!

  16. These are glorious, Diana - I especially love the soft blue one - fabulous embellishing! The frosted white branches are wonderful. My Funkie Junkie tags have been all over pinecones and greenery dies this year - it's irresistible. A card like this is a gift in itself - glad you found a way to be able to send them safely.

  19. Your cards are fabulous as always, Diana - I especially love the second one - the white design reminds me so much of traditional Norwegian knitwear! I love anything with a wintery colour scheme as it's so subtle. Thank you so much for your lovely comment and for your kind thoughts, and I'm really sorry to hear how much your poor hubby is suffering too! At least mine isn't in pain - he's just immobile until his broken leg heals. Back to the fracture clinic on Fri. to see if it's still healing nicely or whether he will need an operation after all. It's been a really difficult time and there have been occasions when I've wondered how on earth I'm going to cope with it all but somehow one gets through it. Here's hoping for better things in 2018!

    Happy WOYWW,
