Crochet Flowers and WOYWW

I have several crochet projects on the go at the moment as I'm trying to use up some of my yarn mountain - I simply can't squish another ball into any of my yarn bags!
One of the projects is an autumn coloured scarf made up of these little flowers all of which I'm going to stitch together at the petal tips.  I'm completely out of kilter with the seasons here but it might actually be autumn by the time I finish it!

I'm linking up with Julia over at What's On Your Desk Wednesday this week.

  2. What lovely colours, Diane. This is going to make a very pretty scarf. I really wish I could crochet, but it's double dutch to me, several people have tried to teach me with no success at all, I think I'm a hopeless cause!!
    Happy WOYWW

  14. Oh Wow Diana, that's going to be gorgeous! At least you're doing something, I haven't been in my studio in weeks. I've also been sick for weeks though, so that's my excuse, all I seem to have the energy to do is come home from work and lay on the couch. But Spring is coming, and I have to get over this flu eventually...

  16. Lovely crochet, Diana! Nice to see you doing something with yarn/fibre/textile again. I love the colours, and the yarn itself looks to have a lovely texture and feel. Thank you for your visit - my hubby and I laughed out loud at your suggestion that I was making a carnival float!!! Haha!! Now there's an idea... yes, I went flat out on those flowers and ended up making far too many, but some of the colours did almost get used up, and the rest will go in my stash for future use. I used all but one single leaf from the mountain I made of those! The mystery project is all but finished now, and if I hadn't been so tired when I got back today, I'd have been up in the studio, but I've got tomorrow. We are meeting up with the recipient of the project hopefully on Monday (snow permitting) and after that I can do the Big Reveal at last!! I am very pleased with the result. Lol at the guinea pig! You don't think of them as having different personalities like kitties but what do I know? We only had one guinea pig and that was when I was about 9. Ruby did have a cuddle this evening and did actually purr for me, and I think it's just that she's far too busy with other things to bother about Mummy at the moment (typical teenager). My hubby says they will settle down eventually! How I miss their adorable baby days!

    Happy belated WOYWW,
