Started on a mini online course, but did the first day very enthusiastically and then not had the time since to continue. I have made the decision not to join any more courses until everything is finished in my queue. I have had another look at your collages and I think they are linked by the halves of the same picture and the fact you have done them in a similar way. I had a look at Randell Plowman’s Collage a Day blog. I find I like those with a recognisable element like the birds and the ones that look (to me) like a background, I don’t like the abstract ones. I have been trying to work out how his bird ones are done and I think they are printed onto graph paper. I first thought they had been fussy cut. If I am right, I really like the idea of printing images this way. Can I ask you which glue you use? The book is in my shopping basket, but I am hesitant as always when I can’t see what I am buying. For me images are a real problem for collages, where do you find yours?Crafting With Jackhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06066297283617909370noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-698455695833611307.post-14501210461821517042021-12-02T08:25:55.585+00:002021-12-02T08:25:55.585+00:00Ooh I like the idea of peeling back layers Diana. ...Ooh I like the idea of peeling back layers Diana. I often find when I use "strips" of collage that I corner myself and have to ask the question "ok, now what?" And usually the answer is to put something along the lines where the pieces meet - and that's exactly what you did here! So perhaps there's method in the madness LOL! Stripping layers is also something I do sometimes, but usually by accident - I stick something in the wrong place and when I try to remove it it rips - just call it a design feature! Lucky mixed media is so forgiving!
