I didn't do anything on them today because I was waiting for the rest of the hardware to arrive, which it did, and also because I had other things to see to. I've got till the 11th so don't need to over-pressurise myself. I'm also concerned about my health because my hernia has definitely returned and I've been having problems with it today. Not only is it a very attractive looking binding, but I love the idea of being able to remove and swap the pages around. What a clever idea. I also love book making and have explored some different binding methods, having tried a Coptic binding last year that was very successful. I adore books and boxes - they are so much more tactile and interactive than art hanging on the wall, and I am increasingly drawn to them.<br /><br />You surprise me a lot by saying you've got big clumpy hands! Following your blog for so long and seeing all the intricate and exquisite work that is your hallmark, I'd have put you down as one with dainty little fingers lol!! Anyway, however big they may be, they are well connected to your heart and your brain and are more than capable of expressing your beautiful creative nature! That sort of accuracy is...Oh my word that’s clever! That sort of accuracy is a bit beyond me I fear, but I love the remove-and-replace ability, it makes for the perfect sketch book/journal doesnt it. I’m always on the hunt for decent ring bound notebooks because it drives me nuts if they dont lie flat, so this binding has a huge appeal for me.
