Autumn gift wrap and WOYWW #284

I have been busy making a birthday card and decorating gift wrap and a gift bag for my sister's birthday - she loves Autumn and anything leafy, so I dug out my collection of leaf and acorn rubber stamps and all the ink pads I could find in autumnal colours and got stuck in!

I recently discovered these tiny little apples that I added to the front of the card - they are made for dolls houses and are 1/12 size - there is a world of delightful miniature stuff out there that I am only just discovering - why have I never seen these before?!!

Also on my desk is the loveliest surprise that arrived in the post last week - it's the most beautiful notebook made by the hugely talented Lunch Lady Jan.  I have been admiring and coveting her fabulous fabrics for a long time, but my favourite has to be this botanicals one, and Jan kindly made this beautiful notebook out of it.  Thank you Jan - it will be treasured and loved.

I'm linking up with What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday - why not pop over and see what other people have on their desks this week!

  4. I love your gift wrap and card, Diana! Using craft paper with stamps is one of my favorite gift wraps. My daughter has made it her own for Christmas and other gift giving occasions, so I don't want to steal her idea. But, I love it. I couldn't see the gift you received but it sounds lovely.

  13. Diana, your wrapping paper and card are stunning - what a great idea. I've got some lovely leaf stamps, and on the brown paper backing they certainly would look cool! And what a lovely notebook from LLJ.

Thanks for your lovely comment - I do seem to be on a bit of a roll with the album but can't always manage to do some every day. Busy day today with friends for tea. I may get the book finished... We shall see!

    Happy WOYWW,

  14. Well of course you love that paper, it has you written all over it! I love it too. And all your Autumn crafting is just beautiful - Fall leaves and acorns just make me happy, and you have some really great stamps. You probably have a huge collection of them that hardly ever gets used like I do!

  19. I'm positively drooling over your oak leaf and acorn stamps and how lovely your wrapping paper turned out. As I have a bit of a squirrel obsession, oak trees and acorns are also my "thing." And I do always wrap with kraft paper and customize the ribbons and tags :) I love the little mini apples on your card, too. Miniatures are a dangerous world to get into! And I love your new notebook, that fabric really is beautiful.
