Winter Snowdrop Collage

This week I finished a sketchbook page in celebration of these pretty little winter flowers that are blooming my garden at the moment.

I have one small group of Snowdrops and I'm hoping they'll spread - they originally came from a friend who has sadly passed on but I have so enjoyed making this page and thinking happy thoughts of her.

I'm also getting stuck in to another wintery page - I'm being drawn to that soft sage colour lately  - not a go to colour for me usually but I'm enjoying it and will be using it until I've worked it out of my system!

I'm linking up with Julia over at WOYWW this week.

Spring is in the Air

'Spring is in the air' over at Tag Tuesday, so here is my Spring themed tag -

with Pussy Willow stems, hard frosty ground and hints of new growth.

Pussy Willow In Winter and WOYWW

At long last I've finally found some motivation to open my sketchbook, and I've been working on an old theme of mine: the garden in winter.  Pussy Willow is always a favourite at this time of year so when I came across an old stencil of it that I don't think I've ever used it kick started me to get some ideas down!

I stenciled the pussy willow, then covered the buds with Glossy Accents and sprinkled with micro beads - I was trying to get a frosty feel.

I'm linking up with WOYWW, so why not pop over if you would like to see what other people have on their desks this week!

Pussy Willow

Spring is nearly here, and to get our minds focused on warmer weather and budding flowers I thought I'd post some photos I took last spring of Pussy Willow twigs.  They were about 3 to 4 feet tall and lasted for weeks and weeks, and looked so stunning around the house.  I'm off looking for some more shortly, as it's about time to change my house over from autumn/winter colours to spring/summer colours.

I am linking up this week with Mary over at Mosaic Monday.

PUSSY WILLOW COLOUR PALETTE

I'm joining in again this week with Colour Me Weekly over at leavesnbloom.

I splashed out on a large bunch of Pussy Willow the other day and now have bundles of it and odd twigs all around the house.  I love it!
