I have been using this Heartfelt Creations flower stamp and die set throughout January - my idea being to try out an item of 'forgotten stash' each month with a view to keeping it or moving it on. I think this is definitely a keeper as I haven't stopped using it yet! My other projects using this set can be seen here and here.
I used Distress Stickles, stamens, Perfect Pearls for the flower centres, silver metallic leaf for the background, silver gilding wax for the black leaves and flowers and I used text stamps on some of the petals.
I am linking up with Julia over at WOYWW to see what others have on their desks this week.

Gorgeous tags!! Isn't it interesting to see how different they look with the pops of colour? I adore the bright pink with the black and silver, so elegant...dare I say, even sophisticated? It's unusual for me to head for that one, cos I'm not normally a pinky gal!!

YeH, this stamp suits you, for sure. And of course, you can make it look different so many times. Love the italic text behind the first flower/tag. Fab, as always!

How beautiful - my favourite is the fully monochrome one, I think - so gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteAlison xx
ohh my - truly beautiful!! I think I have those stamps too. Soojay 13 xx
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous tags Diana. I always love black and the different designs, all work so well in their different ways. I really like those flowers with the added script. It's great the way you have used the stamens as an accent, rather than adding them in the centre of the flowers in the most obvious way. Your Wednesday posts are a feast for the eyes. Elaine x
ReplyDeleteI love the black and white with a pop of color! These are beautiful, Diana! Last year I had extra black gesso poured out on my mat and decided to use it be painting some tags of different sizes. The idea was to use white with pops of yellow and frame them all together. Well, I have one finished and never finished the rest. You've motivated me to get them out and finish them! Thanks for the push!!
ReplyDeleteGlorious tags Diana. Love the colour combinations. Black & silver always look amazing. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #20 xx
ReplyDeleteBlack, white and red. Stunning!! I would want to take these tag creations and frame them, I love them so. Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #44

Hi Diana, those colour schemes are stunning! I'm working on a Masterboard at the moment on black card and love it. Good idea to use forgotten stash. Wishing you a great week and a happy woyww, Angela x 24
ReplyDeleteDiana I always have such a mix of emotions when I see your blog. Sometimes I'm smiling, sometimes grinning, sometimes wowing but today I was moved to tears with the beauty of your tags and your wonderful photography.

Lynn, my thoughts exactly! Another emotion I tend to experience is "green with envy" at such talent lol lol!!
DeleteDon't worry - I already went soft ages ago. After all, I talk to my stoma! Duh.

ReplyDeleteWow, love your beautiful tags Diane. These stamps and dies have been on my wish list for ages but are always getting pushed further down by other things. However I think they are definitely back at the top after seeing your stunning tags today. Love that delicate leaf sprig on the black and grey tag,is that by Heartfelt creations too? lottie #60
ReplyDeleteApologies I put Diane instead of Diana x
ReplyDeleteSo lovely, Diana! Your talent for these contrasting colors in Black or Kraft is amazing!! Love all the details - as always! xxx Lynn

Whenever I visit your blog, Diana, I can never restrain myself from saying "WOW"! I say it again now! What gorgeous, gorgeous ags! Thank you so much for letting me know about this stamp, which I have now ordered, and look forward to it coming, as I have with the sisal, which I found on Ebay. I love the exchange of ideas and info that we have on WOYWW! I love the black background for your tags, and also how you've stamped the flowers on text paper - great idea.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely comment, and I'm glad you like my projects since the return of my mojo! I was amazed how easy the gold thread was to sew with, atlhough I had a couple of breakages at the beginning. The only problem is, it simply doesn't show up on the photos! It's much more gold and sparkly in real life. I had the most brilliant lunch out with my 2 friends from hospital yesterday - we chatted and laughed, and ended the meal with 2 lots of coffee and couldn't tear ourselves away! It was nearly 4.30 by the time I got home! Then we were out again in the evening. As a result I'm shattered today but it doesn't matter - I'm resting, and should be ready to get going again tomorrow.
Happy belated WOYWW,
Shoshi #28
The black with the pop of pink is gorgeous. I am thinking I need to buy the flower as I would geT a lot of use from it. Will check eBay.
ReplyDeletelove the beautiful tags and how artfully done they are. IT is not easy working with black and white. I think the red/pink makes that tag pop! I am a little late getting around but I made it! Thanks for sharing and I hope you have a great week. Vickie #71
ReplyDeleteI love the black and white with the pops of the bright color, especially the pink. So striking and really beautiful - you're outdoing yourself with that stamp and die set, I'm not sure I'd have seen the potential in it until I saw what you did with them. You know, you'd be a great rep for a company like this where you take their products and show people what can be done with them, like Tim Holtz does.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! LOVE LOVE LOVE the black and white! You have done them beautifully! Thanks for stopping by mine and sorry I am so far behind. ShelC/PaperOcotilloStudio #48
ReplyDeleteThese are so stunning and so varied too.... I agree... a keeper. What a great idea to test what stays and goes from your stash!!!!
