Mossy Teabags

A mossy garden embroidered on a teabag!

I am linking up with WOYWW - why not pop over to see what other people have on their desks this week!

Paper Artsy Challenge and Moss Garden

Another entry for the Paper Artsy Challenge and still being inspired by Leandra's video and the Adirondack Colorwash sprays.
Moss Garden teabags sprayed with Adirondack 'Espresso' and 'Lettuce',
then rusted and sprayed again.
I used invisible thread - it's springy - so the beads stand proud of the work,
like the tiny flowers on moss.

Paper Artsy - Sprays Challenge

For the Paper Artsy challenge we have had to use sprays.
I was inspired when I saw Leandra's video and I realised I have that same beautiful green Adirondack spray called 'Lettuce'!
It was perfect for my Emergence of Spring project,
and it was perfect for moss!

I used teabags backed with Vilene, Adirondack sprays, velvet, silk thread, silver wire, beads, rubber stamps and distress ink.

The Emergence of Spring

For WOYWW this week - four little teabags depicting the emergence of Spring.
I used some of the eco-printed papers I made and also a selection of printed fabric, sari silk, beads and lace.

Tea Bag Art and Recuperation

Firstly, I would like to say a big thank you for all the good wishes I have received over the last week, your visits and kind words have meant a lot to me.
When I knew I was imminently going into hospital I prepared a handful of teabags! I ironed Vilene on to the back of each one, and added some fabric and machine stitching to them.  Now that I am recuperating I have my bag of prepared teabags and a bag of 'bits and bobs' by me so I can sit and quietly decorate them with beads, braids and embroidery.  It's been nice having a gentle activity to do while I'm on enforced rest!  The theme is the Winter Garden, in case you hadn't guessed, and this is what is on my desk this week for WOYWW

Teabag Art, Silk Paper and Beyond the Enclosure Project

It's time for WOYWW again and this week I have been using some of the silk paper I made last week, and continuing with an old theme I often come back to about garden history - there are links back to some older work here and here for any one interested.  I have also had a yearning to play about with teabags for quite a while, since seeing a whole table of them drying and waiting to be used over at Shoshi's blog!
