Christmas Packages and WOYWW

Happy New Year!
Very little has been going on in my studio since before Christmas - how long ago that seems now - and so there is nothing on my desk at the moment, but I thought I'd share some Christmas packaging I made for family members, just to give me an excuse to take part!

An envelope for a restaurant voucher - front...

and back.

A small box for a cash gift - front...

and back.

A small pillow box for a piece of jewellery - front...

and back.

I am linking up with What's On Your Work Desk Wednesday this week and I've just realised I missed the WOYWW 500 anniversary - what an achievement and thank you to Julia and all the wonderful deskers who have kept it going and made it such a joy to participate in.

  1. Those are gorgeous Diana and a great way of making a voucher/cash/whatever seem more of a present somehow! I adore the bare branches and the colour palette, so much cup of tea. Happy New Year to you!

  4. These look fantastic, Diana, so tastefully done - understated and elegant. They bring back lovely Christmas memories! A month ago we were just getting ready to celebrate and now it's just cold, long January (sigh). zsuzsa #21

  12. Gorgeous, beautiful. I think you are the only person I’ve ever met who can make snowflakes stamped in black look absolutely right. I wish I had a fraction of your artistry!

  13. Utterly lovely... I wouldn't need there to be a present inside! I'm coveting those twigs - what a lovely stamp, and perfect against your delicately blended wintry sky. The plainsong manuscript stamp is also gorgeous, and I love the contrast of the ice of the first two and the warmth of the last. Exquisite gift-wrapping.

  14. Oh what lovely gift packaging you made Diana. I'm afraid mine went in little embroidered Ikea card envelopes as I had run out of time to do anything arty. I love your colour schemes and combined techniques. xx Jo

  15. Your gift packaging is beautiful, Diana. I love your muted colour schemes and you’ve really captured the atmosphere of these winter scenes. Thank you for visiting and I’m really glad you like my scarf! It is going to be fun to wear once I’ve done the other end. It is indeed very tactile, and I think I shall spend most of my time fiddling with it when I’m wearing it!! It’s also lovely and warm, being double-thickness stocking stitch and pure wool. Our kitties are so entertaining and fun, and they are not happy when they are not together - Lily especially always wants to know where her sister is, and gets so distressed when she gets out. Thank you for your good wishes for my health - I’ve had some more bad days but in between I’ve been pretty good, and have been very busy! I’ve got a lot of catching up to do, and hence have had absolutely no time for my studio!

    Happy belated WOYWW,
