I thought I 'd post another photo mosaic of autumn changes - this week I've changed my bedroom round. The cushion covers on the linen box have been changed to warm terracotta/brick red colours, the white painted wooden photo frames have been replaced with a large copper bowl with seed heads and pot pourri in it, and the bedding is one of my very favourite William Morris designs of acorns and oak leaves. If only Autumn lasted all year!
Is there anything in the garden at the moment more beautiful than hydrangea heads? I just love them - this one looked so striking with the sun shining through it.
I bought this hydrangea head into the house and played about with Photoshop and Kim Klassen textures!
I am linking up to Colour Me Weekly and Mosaic Monday.
Beautiful - I love that last shot with texture!
ReplyDeleteYour photographs are beautiful! The last one is gorgeous with the Kim Klassen textures. Love them!
ReplyDeletelove the way you have done the mosaic with the stack of beautiful autumn colours and the hydrangea heads. Gorgeous lighting coming through the petals - goes to show even after their summer beauty has faded they are still beautiful. Have a wonderful week. I am linking up to you through Mosaic Monday.
ReplyDeleteWonderful warm and naturally. Great !
ReplyDeleteHi Diana
ReplyDeleteYour bedroom colours and textures look so cosy..... and I adore your gorgeous WM duvet cover.
I totally agree about the hydrangeas.... the light looks amazing coming through the petals.
I do LOVE this time of year too and I love what you have done with your photograph.

Just a fabulous photo of a hydrangea with that light illuminating through the papery petals. I love that William Morris design too and that rich palette of colours for ColorMe Weekly.
ReplyDeleteYou are a darned good photographer!
ReplyDeleteI loved your title - made me laugh! As far as I'm concerned you can go on about Autumn every day! You take such beautiful pictures, they're just making me enjoy my favorite season even more!
ReplyDeleteI love these images and yes, I think Hydrangeas in the Autumn are even more lovely than spring and summer. The dept of colours show, just before they fall to the ground brilliantly~
ReplyDeleteOh wow Diana - if I had a bedroom like that I'd never want to go to sleep! Just gorgeous. Unfortunately beastly blogger is playing up and won't let me see your other photos so I'll have to come back later for a peep.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely comments - yes, my hubby has an eagle eye and is always spotting lovely things! He always manages to choose things that I love when he gives me presents. After 25 (now 26!) years of marriage you'd think he'd realise he always gets it right, but he said he was so worried I wouldn't like my Silver Wedding present! (I loved it, of course!)
I'm so glad you like my little art journal, and the first page I've done. Music is so special. I think it's something to do with it touching both the left and right sides of the brain... but perhaps that's being too analytical. I believe it is a gift from God and it can touch us at every level. I am sorry to hear that your mum had Alzheimer's. How wonderful that the language of music was able to reach her when nothing else could! It is not surprising that music therapy is now an important profession, is it. I definitely go along with the suggestion that iPods should be available on the NHS! What a good idea!!
I've just finished another journal page, and you can see the work in progress on today's WOYWW post - I shall be uploading the post about the finished page once I've uploaded the photos. I'm very thrilled with how it came out!

Your other photos have now appeared! They are goooorrrrgeous... Like you, I adore autumn, but these pictures could convert any summer lover to the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness lol! I especially love the second photo - beautifully subtle, and a lovely "still life" you have assembled. Brilliant!

Gorgeous photos, Diana! Your autumn bedroom looks so pretty and cosy. I like the way you decorate according to the season, which reminds me of a book I have about making seasonal textiles for your home. I will find it and post about it on my blog for you. Your hydrangea seed heads are great, and inspire me to photograph the ones I have been meaning to take when out walking,so I will do another post about that!I particularly like the photo with the light shining through Thanks for the inspiration.

I just love those reds! The oak leaf and acorn linens are gorgeous. You've got some fantastic textures in those photos, too.
ReplyDeleteBoth of your hydrangea photos are fabulous. I love what you did with the textures on that last one.
