I don't quite know where the last week has gone but here we are again for the Focus on Life challenge! The subject is silhouettes and although I'm not sure if it fully meets the criteria it is about as silhouette-like as I could manage!
I added sepia tones and resisted the strong temptation to lighten it!
I have posted another two versions of the same image on my blog over at
Velvet Moth Photography if you fancy a look - I'd love to know which you prefer!
Gorgeous photo, it seems so ethereal. I just discovered your photo blog. Wonderful eye candy.
ReplyDeleteI think I like the second one on your other blog the best... although it no longer really looks like a photograph!
ReplyDeleteNot sure which is my favorite, but I do like how you took it down to it's basic elements.
ReplyDeleteI love tulips no matter how they're photographed! Just gorgeous :)
ReplyDeleteLovely!! Just perfect for this week's prompt I think! Fabulous photograph.
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous photo! I love how fragile the tulips look against the window.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely photograph! I think it's perfect for a silhouette theme.
ReplyDeleteYour tulips are beautiful! Although I love all three effects you used, there's something about the first one on your other blog that really appeals to me. Just lovely!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite flower
ReplyDeleteI like this one best - great picture! Tulips are a favorite of mine
ReplyDeleteBeautiful :)

Gorgeous picture, the translucency of the petals really adds depth.
ReplyDeleteThis is my favorite. I like the softened contrasts.
ReplyDeleteWowsers what a stunning picture! The translucence of the petals adds such depth and interest. I absolutely love the second picture on your other blog, surreal.
ReplyDeleteJust a stunning photo of tulips and a nice silhouette.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a beautiful photo! But so are the the other two. I can't even pick a favorite!
ReplyDeleteThis definitely has more silhouettes to it but I think I prefer the top one of the other two. I've just joined your photography blog, it's fantastic Diana. Well done
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely subject - especially against the backdrop of so many of us who selected stark tree branches. I like the texture in the second photo. Great post this week!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tulips and a lovely image. Have a happy week!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I love these - I wouldn't have thought of sepia for tulips - they're always so very bright, but I just love it, I'm always a sucker for sepia and there's less distraction from the bright color so the texture stands out more. I think I like the 2nd one best on your other blog, because I really like that line texture in it.
ReplyDeletegorgeous image - I love the sepia tones. Leaching out the colour really brings out the form and shape.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week, and thank you for stopping by my blog this week.
Very artsy sepia layers...
