On my desk this week I have some new stash (mixed up with some old stash!):- some lovely wide linen ribbon, printed and frayed...
some vintage style fabric with birds and script on it, and some linen trim with little rosettes...
some new Tim Holtz fabric with postal marks and stamps...
and finally, a lovely surprise landed through the letterbox from my dear blog friend, the super-talented Lynn at One I Made Earlier Today - she knows how much I covet and love her old rusty typewriter and she's made me a wallet with matching postcards, beautifully decorated with stitching. How gorgeous are they!
A huge thank you Lynn.
I'm linking up with WOYWW this week for the 300th Anniversary. Congratulations to our leader Julia - what an achievement! Why not pop over and see what other people have on their desks - it's a great place to nose around!

I was drooling over your stash one minute then laughing the next when my typewriter postcards popped up. I've been around the globe today as I spotted a Doodly Bird clock on the wall of Vonny K house in Queensland, Australia. Fame at last haha
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what lovely things you create with all that beautiful stuff!
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous goodies. I love that Tim Holtz fabric.
ReplyDeleteThat is one beautiful heap of new stash there! It all tones so beautifully already and that's even before you've woven your crafty magic on it. I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with. I love the postcards Lynn sent you, they're wonderful :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the continuing support and friendship...here's to the next 300, eh?!

Oooh what gorgeous stash to set us on our way for WOYWW 300! Gorgeous subtle colours as always. I can't wait to see what you come up with.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your encouraging comment. Yes, it's been a very stressful and unsettling time these past few weeks, and we are now enjoying the start of a fortnight which hopefully will be characterised by peace and calm and rest. We both need to prepare for the ordeal ahead. What happened on Friday was truly horrendous and I don't think I could cope with a repeat performance, so we are hoping against hope that all goes through OK on the 18th. Glad you liked my "droopy" picture lol!

Wow, perfect lace, fabric and bits n pieces, what are you going to create with these beauties? Love the postcards, it's so nice to get mail from like minded people. Thanks for visiting already, yes Yoda and I do have a special bond, Devon Rex cats tend to bond with someone and they are a touchy feely nurturing animal, actually he thinks he is human LOL.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting already

Beautiful fabric you have to play with and that gift from Lynn looks so fantastic love those old typewriters happy late WOYWW 300 hugs Nikki 1
ReplyDeleteWhat yummy goodies, can't wait to see what comes of all those gorgeous fabrics and ribbons! And now I covet Lynn's rusty old typewriter - I have an old Underwood typewriter, but I've clearly made the mistake of keeping it indoors!
ReplyDeleteFabric like that just makes me lick my lips and wonder what I could do with it all - gorgeous, Diana. What a lovely thoughtful gift from Lynn - enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting - the desktop picture... I use Serif for all my documents, publishing, etc. I simply added a freebie background to the page, then typed some words and chose the colour. Saved it as a photo file, then in "My Pictures" right clicked on the image and chose "set as my desktop background". Believe me when I tell you, that if it was any more complicated than that - I wouldn't manage it!!! I've nearly finished the new church website but have 1 page refusing to do what I tell it - just can't find the right instructions anywhere... help line here we come!!! See what I mean about things needing to be simple?!
Take care. God bless.
