February's Forgotten Stash Part 2

Carrying on my quest to try out a forgotten and unused item in my stash each month I have been using the Tim Holtz Artful Dwellings die.
While decorating the shapes for my winter garden piece last week (see here) I found  several were looking rather architectural so I put them aside to make a separate piece.
I used copper, brown and gold metallic leaf on some of the stamped images and although difficult to see you can just about catch some of the shine below.  I'm particularly fond of the Italian architectural stamp and I'm pleased I've found it a good home!

I'm linking up with Julia over at What's On Your Work Desk Wednesday.

  2. I love all things architectural, so those stamps really appeal. Plans, blueprints, maps...anything that's graphic rather than figurative really floats my boat. I remember drawing Doric, Ionic and Corinthian columns with a Rotring pen for my A level art. So satisfying!!
It goes without saying then that I adore your work this week :-)

  6. I'm with you on that stamp. Beautiful. I have a particular love of doors and windows in architecture, which is reflected in my postcard collection. Like LLJ I love all things graphic. Blueprints, maps etc
Having said that, you little houses are beautiful. The colours are stunning.
    Thanks for visiting,
Happy WOYWW and have a good week,

  17. I'm enjoying this series Diana (as always).
I printed off a photo of last week's and I have it hanging on my string inspiration line in the studio. It has pieces of old lace and crotchet round it and looks wonderful

  20. I love what you've done with these, Diana. The limited palette and the clever use of the stamps gives it a sense of an architectural drawing. Great use of those dies! Thank you for your lovely comment, and I'm glad you enjoyed what is going on in my life at the moment! Yes, that was the same panda programme - it was so lovely, wasn't it! Thank you for your good wishes for Friday - having the port flushed is a doddle. It's coming out next month which will be a milestone in my treatment. I made 2 dozen buns for them today and I'll take them in with the cards on Friday. What I am not looking forward to is the dentist tomorrow!!!

I was so busy today that I completely forgot to sign in to WOYWW till after tea time - I'd done my blog post in the small hours and forgot to complete the process, hence my late arrival on the scene today.

    Happy WOYWW,

  24. Another superb series Diana, wonderful use of those dies! Love how you have decorated them, the leafing adds that wonderful extra touch. Now you have left me all curious on who makes that Italian architectural stamp, it is truly wonderful! Is it Oxford Impressions?

  28. I adore what you've done with the dwellings here - with the incorporation of the postage stamps, great architectural and text stamping, and the glint and gleam of the gilding is glorious (sorry, seem to have become rather alliterative there).
