I don't think I'll ever tire of making paper flowers - they are so relaxing and satisfying to do! Here are a couple of tags I've made - both flowers are made in the same way using the Tattered Florals die. I just creased and curled them in different ways. I love Peonies and old fashioned cabbage roses, anything where the petals turn inwards and make a 'bowl', which is the look I was trying to get with the peachy flower.
I'm linking up with Julia over at WOYWW, where you can see what other people have been up to on their work desks this Wednesday!
I'm back!! Got the Interwebs a couple of days ago - woohoo :-)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE everything about those tags, from the subtle background stamping to the pearls to the flowers themselves. The grey and pale peach is a wonderful combo...it would be brilliant for a wedding card too.
Hope you are keeping well and happy!

ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous! Love the delicately tinted petals against the bluish grey /greyish blue backgrounds! Very 3D and if you scented them, they would be 4D! Or is that a stupid idea, LOL? Wishing you a wonderful week! zsuzsa #25

I love making flowers too. Yours are beautiful. That little touch of grey on the petal edges makes all the difference I think.

Such lovely colours the die might cut the flowers but you make them look extra special.
ReplyDeleteDiana, I don't think there is EVER a tag of yours that I don't like! These are simply GORGEOUS!!! The flowers are so delicate looking and hard to believe they came from die cuts! You certainly have a flair!! Blessings, Felicia #43
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore these flowers and your tag, they are stunning. I cannot get mine looking anywhere like this (and it's been a long while since I tried!) Helen #1
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love both of these, in all aspects! The flowers are superb, and the backgrounds are stunning! However did you get that gray with all the detail?! Stunning! xxx Lynn
ReplyDeleteMy mom just bought a serving platter with the same colors on it and roses to boot! Wait till I show these. They are beautiful.

I had no idea you could make such pretty flowers using the Tattered Florals die!!These ones you've created are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHow are those not real flowers??!! They are amazing! The tags are so beautiful. TFS. Dorlene #44
ReplyDeleteTwo more beautiful tags Diana. I love peony and cabbage rose type flowers and that TH die does work so well for them. I really love the colours you have chosen, the delicate peach against the slatey blue makes those flowers really pop. The addition of the little beaded elements within the foliage is a lovely delicate touch too, the kind of detail you really excel at. Gorgeous work as ever and whoever is the lucky recipient of these tags will be thrilled I am sure. Elaine x
ReplyDeleteYour delicate paper flowers are exquisite.
ReplyDeleteSo elegant and beautiful - the subtle grey tones of the textured backgrounds are so lovely, and then the warm peachy pink of the cabbage rose (stunningly natural) and the brilliant edging on the petals of the other flower (love how you've given them a crimped look) are just perfect. Two really exquisite tags.

Just gorgeous, Diana, and the flowers are so natural-looking! I love the subtle pink against the grey. Utterly fabulous! Thank you for your lovely comment, and I'm glad you liked my recent projects! My friend was thrilled with them, I'm happy to say. My hubby phoned up about the little squirrel today and I'm happy to report that he's doing well and being well cared for. As for my finger, went back to have the dressing changed for the second time today, and they are very pleased with how well it has healed. I've got a regular dressing on it now, with the finger-tip exposed, and I can play the guitar again!! It is tender if I press it, and it's going to take another week or so to be fully healed, I think. There will be hardly any scar! The first meeting of my new Bible study is due to start in just over an hour and I'm alternately nervous and excited about it!! It will be fine, I am sure - I know my stuff and it's not as if I haven't done this before... Glad you like my revamped logo - this sort of thing is not difficult to do with decent software, and I love playing around on the computer anyway!
