Diamante Cards

I've been trying to use up old stash before buying any more new stuff - well the good intentions are there but it's difficult!
I have an over-flowing box of diamante charms, a real mix of new and old, some are vintage earrings from boot fairs, with the backs cut off and some are new and what I call 'couldn't resist' buys!  Anyway, I've made a start and here are a couple of the cards I've been making for imminent birthdays!

Black glitter card used above and Ranger black enamel used below

I also wanted to show off the loveliest ATC, which arrived from Sandra de - it was such a nice surprise and really brightened by day.

I'm linking up with WOYWW this week.

  10. Ooh, just gorgeous, Diana! They are very striking, and what a great idea for using up those odd bits and pieces that we all accumulate in our stash. Lovely ATC, too. Thank you for your very kind words about our poor kitties - I am sure our new babies are lurking out there somewhere and we will soon be united with them, and they will get thoroughly spoilt! I can't see myself doing much art after they arrive as I won't want to miss a moment.

    Happy WOYWW,

  17. Fabulous finishes on the die-cut grasses - I like both the glitter and the enamel. And I just love those glitter flakes in the backgrounds - especially the large flourish - echoing the glamour of the jewelled embellishments.

  21. Thanks so much for visiting on Wednesday, Diana! My internet was down so I couldn't get back earlier. Loving your classy birthday cards - there's so much dimension there! The diamante pieces add a touch of vavavoom! Sandra's ATC is very similar to your style - delicate and understated - and that's no doubt one of her own paintings of a kingfisher, wow! I hope you're enjoying the fresher weather! zsuzsa #25
