A summer tag using a Geranium die and a colour that I don't often use - mauve. I'm not awfully comfortable working with mauve but it's such a pretty colour I should use it more. I was going to hang this round the neck of a bottle of wine, but the back is so marked where I'm such a messy worker that it shall be turned into a birthday card to accompany the wine instead!!
I'm joining in with Julia over at What's On Your Work Desk Wednesday this week.
Very pretty indeed Diana and yes, you should use mauve more because the combination is luscious 😊💖 It'll make a great card!

Beautiful Diana, and I know what you mean about getting the back messy, happens to me all the time! You could always mount it onto a slightly larger contrasting/matching tag? Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #10 XxX
ReplyDeleteWat ontzettend Mooi... How beautiful this is. groeten uit Nederland.
ReplyDeleteYes, you should totally use mauve more often - it harmonizes with the colour of that stamp perfectly and compliments the yellow/green. It would have looked great on the wine bottle (I do love that idea!) but it will look equally fab on a birthday card! Hope you're having a good week! zsuzsa #33
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful tag Diana and I would never have thought of making one to go on a wine bottle. Thanks for the tip

Just gorgeous, Diana, and the mauve is well set off by the green-yellow colour. I am so glad you make messy backs too. I've never discovered how to keep them clean!! Lol! Thank you for your lovely comment - we are mega excited about the kitties now - this time tomorrow we will be with them, seeing them for the first time, and willing the time to pass till the end of July when we can have them. My hubby is worried that the kitty tree is too high for them and they won't be able to reach to get on it, but I think they'll be rampaging all over it in no time! It really is massive - taller than I am haha!! You are right - kitty-proofing or GP-proofing a garden is no mean task. If you leave one tiny gap, you can guarantee that they will find it. Still, we've got a month, and they won't be going outside immediately anyway. I hope to take lots of photos tomorrow - they score 10/10 on the Cuteness Overload Scale and I can't wait to meet them!

Hi Diana, only you can make such a stylish and beautiful piece like this. I know the problem with getting the backs dirty, I usually cover it with more colour or have another piece of card at the ready to back it with as I know it will happen and it makes me happy to see it's not just me Lol! Have a lovely woyww and a happy crafty week, Angela x18x
ReplyDeleteOh my that is so pretty! Have a great week. Dorlene #36
ReplyDeleteOh so beautiful Diana, your background is wonderful, with your stamps, and feeling of texture it creates - , I love your mauve coloring, and so lovely with the green. Such a gorgeous card to accompany the wine !! Hugs from Dorthe
ReplyDeleteSo pretty. Love this tag. The background is gorgeous and love the use of the prills. WOYWW #37
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty tag, the colours and design is so beautiful now it will become a gorgeous card... Love it.. Have a happy week ahead... May#11
ReplyDeleteI love all the purples and you've made a super job of using a colour you don't usually use. You can always stick some white card on the back of the tag to cover the mess and make it firmer for a tag anyways. Personally I like the mess! BJ#28
ReplyDeleteYou've got a very delicate hand with the mauve - and it works beautifully. I love the contrast with the yellow-greens and the mail art stamping in the background is perfect. I'm with BJ on the mess - embracing imperfection!

I don't think to use mauve often either, but especially in combination with that green gold color it's just beautiful. The ribbon is gorgeous as well, did you dye it yourself?
ReplyDeleteHi Diana, I hope everything's okay as you've been very quiet. Sending hugs, Angela xXx
