I've churned out about three cards this week!  It's relaxing and I love it but I think I need to up my game if I'm going to be done by Christmas!
Here's a couple of them...

I'm linking up with Julia over at WOYWW this week.

  2. Gorgeous! They would look fab in a box frame as Christmas decorations - I'd do that and bring them out year after year. The white on white is so pure and ethereal, I love the effect you achieve and all the little details are glorious. Hope you're keeping well, lovely lady :-D

  12. Whenever I visit your blog, my mouth takes on a permanent "Wow!" shape, Diana! This time is NO exception - these cards are absolutely stunning! I love the white on white and the dimension you've got with them. Just gorgeous!

Thank you for your lovely comment - yes, fun and games ongoing with our 2 naughty girlie whirlies. They are certainly better with their cute coats on. Never a dull momen shez Shosh. Glad you like the socks! I love both knitting and crochet. Socks aren't that difficult as long as you follow the pattern. I made up the colour pattern and I'm pleased with how it's turned out.

    Happy WOYWW,

  13. Hi Diana - just seen your comment on Margaret's blog about her liquid pearls storage and thought you might be interested to see how I store my little bottles (alcohol inks, stickles etc.) - a wooden carousel (I'm afraid I can't remember where I got it but you could search online): http://shoshiplatypus.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/my-new-arthavenstarting-to-get-organised.html - scroll down and you can see it on the final photo of that blog post. I find it works really well, esp. for the stickles, as they are stored upside down and the stuff doesn't dry up in the nozzle.

  15. Thanks or your reply, Diana - I've been trying to find that wooden carousel online because I simply can't remember where I got it from and don't seem to have a record on the computer - so far I can't find one online, except an image of one with a link that leads to a private blog which isn't much use! I may have some paperwork upstairs - I'll have a look maybe tomorrow. I know I bought it at some point before we moved house in Sept. 2013 because it was new for my new studio. It was definitely tailor-made for stickles/alcohol inks/liquid pearls etc. so you can store the bottles upside down. It's brilliant because each layer revolves. I remember there was a smaller one available too. The only other alternative would be to find a handy woodworker to make you one! Anyway, I'll have a look over the next few days and see if I can find any paperwork about it.

  16. Diana, your creations are so intricate and beautiful, I can understand why you think my Christmas plaque is not finished yet! But sadly, it is. I would LOVE to have a tiny bit of your creative insight into how I make my plaque "finished"! Please! I love your white on white creations - so beautiful! Thanks for your earlier visit, have a great week! Lindart #25

  21. Hi Diana. These are stunning. Not so much cards as works of art - to be mounted, framed, kept...
    Take care. God bless.

  24. Ah but Diana, in your detailed, itty bitty attention to everything world, three cards probably is churning them out!! Have taken a little tiny teeny bit of inspiration from you..will stick it on my blog after the Marython and try to remember to credit you. If I forget, please forgive me. YOu'll recognise it though!

  25. Hi Diana, I've had a good search through all my old receipts that I've kept (most need throwing away after 10+ years lol!) and I can't find any record at all of the carousel. Such a bore... Anyway, if it would help, and you have got a tame woodturner willing to make you one, I could make some plans of it with measurements and email them to you. Let me know what you think!

  26. Hi Diana, Thank you for your reply, and sorry to be so long getting back to you - it's been a very busy few days! This coming week I will try and do you some plans of the carousel and take some better photos of it for you. I remember getting it just before we moved house and was looking forward to unpacking it and putting it to use for the first time in the new studio, and possibly the paperwork went astray during the move. It will probably turn up one day, in the most unlikely place haha!! Anyway, because both our online searches have come up with nothing, it rather looks as if it's been discontinued. Hang in there and I'll get details to you in due course.

Thank you for your lovely comment and I'm so glad you like the Infusions effect with the gesso - I love how gesso gives such a subtle effect with a variety of materials. So glad you like the socks, too - the blue ones are now strung up in the church on strings between the pillars with all the other (boring black) socks - I thought they definitely needed an injection of colour! I've finished the first of the rainbow ones. The vicar assured me this a.m. that the project will be ongoing so I should be able to do several more pairs over the next month or so. Really fun to do as it's interesting knitting, and they grow quite quickly. There will be some more photos soon!

Kitties still in coats, probably coming off this week, all being well. Lily's diarrhoea is now improving and she's finished her antibiotics and today was a lot more lively which is a good sign. I've had a frantically busy week as my hubby was given 4 big pheasants so I cooked up some freezer fodder - marinated breasts ready for cooking, stock, soup and 2 delicious casseroles! Plenty of meals to beat the winter blues! As a result of this, no further studio time but hopefully that will be remedied this week. I simply must finish that Infusions mini-album this year!

  27. I see I had missed this post, in my absence from blogland for the last month or so. Just wanted to say hi, and that these are absolutely gorgeous works of art, as always. I can almost feel the crisp winter cold just looking at them! I hope you're enjoying your holidays, the sights, sounds and smells!
