A Little Arched Spring Garden

I'm definitely in the mood for Spring so here is a little arched garden using my favourite TH die.  I've not used these multi-coloured gold flakes much but I rather like them on this - it reminds me of hints of blossom appearing on the trees.  I'm thinking I should have added a bit more but I'm trying hard to curb my habit of over-egging the cake!!

I'm linking up with Julia over at WOYWW this week.  I also would like to apologise for not getting back to everyone who left messages - I truly appreciate you taking the time to visit and leave kind comments but with a combination of continuing broadband problems and also several commitments the week just ran away with me!

  1. You're right, that's Spring in a nutshell there - how glorious are those colours. It makes me think of a fairy door or window, a gateway into an enchanted place!

  3. Hi Diana, had chuckle over the over egging the cake, felt touch more might’ve been ok, but agree with you the coloured gilt looks grand! Happy WOYWW, Shaz in Oz.x #4

  10. Hi Diana, those are definitely spring colours. I love this time of year, there is so much in my garden just starting to come to life, lovely to watch, and your garden captures it perfectly. Thanks for stopping by earlier, I made the Love stamp for hubby's Valentine card, I couldn't find one that suited what I wanted. Have a lovely week Heather x #17

  11. Perfect spring colours Diana. I like to keep a jug of daffodils in the kitchen to remind me it’s on its way.

  12. I love this elegant Gothic arch, perfectly set in its springtime garden house. The glint of light from the flakes is lovely too... I think you're one of the last people I would accuse of over-egging the creative pudding - there's always a simplicity, directness and elegance to what you make, however ornate.

  13. Oh my gosh, I love this. I had no idea there was such a thing as multi colored gold flakes, but they're amazing. I'd have guessed, without close-ups, that it was embroidery of some kind - gorgeous! And I don't think you've ever over-egged a cake! (I love that expression). You have an unerring eye for doing exactly as much as a piece needs, in my opinion. I'm in the mood for Spring as well - we've actually had quite a bit of rain for a change, so I'm ready!

  15. I’m late, sorry! Lovely piece Diana, I do love how many times I have to look at it to see all the different details. That variegated leaf is quite lovely, I admire your self control!

  16. There's always something wonderful to see each time I visit Diana, I know exactly what you mean by not over egging the pudding but when we love attention to detail it's not that easy to sit on our hands is it. This is perfection, with it's beads on twisted wire framed beautifully by that arch. Thanks so much for sharing.
I hope those issues are soon sorted. I've been awol for a couple of weeks from woyww due to one thing and another there's never enough hours left in the day.. but i'm glad I caught this.
Have a super weekend Hugs Tracey x
