Using my favourite tag stamp again and some left over bits and pieces.
I found the rolled paper beads on Etsy and fell in love with them - I always knew I'd find the perfect use for them one day!
I'm linking up with Julia over at WOYWW - why not pop over and see what other people have on their desks this week.
Ohhhh, Diana how stunning.... I adore how you blend, meld, add those stamps and images to create the most sublime pieces of art. Thank you for your lovely comments. My DH kept teasing me saying I had missed a feather on the birds!

ReplyDeleteSo amazingly beautiful Diana , I totally love them, and all that is going on there, so many things to look at and love the stamps used too. The rolled paper beads are really wonderful, and I know I have some tubes I could use as rolling paper around them- I did use them for years ago, and decided to save some , when moving from our big place- have to see if I can find them- as always you inspire so much , dear . Also your colors used are fantastic together !!

Lovely tags and I do like the bee on the first one - you have the knack for finding those special little bits to add to your work. The second one has those gorgeous paper beads on them. Something I made with paddy who taught me so much of what I know (and have forgotten) all those years ago. I know I have a card somewhere with some on that I pull out to send off and then always always put back. maybe I should try making some more aper beads - now you have given me a good idea.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing such beautiful work - love the way you have edged and ribboned your tags after you stamped them with such wonderful imagery.

And this is what you do with a few left over bits and pieces!! Fab - lovely colour combo duck a l'orange! xx Jo
ReplyDeleteI love your tags, Diana!
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous colour combo not sure I’d have thought of it, but looks superb. Orange not a go to colour but looks fab with duck egg blue ( but what wouldn’t a gorgeous colour!)
The little additions you add really amaze me.
Happy belated WOYWW. Thanks for sharing, Shaz in Oz.x #10

What a glorious tag... the contrasting colour combination is amazing. I usually avoid orange in my creating (except in autumn when it becomes somehow not only acceptable but wonderful!), but seeing how it works here with the duck egg to make the tags sing... well, it could certainly convert me. The other thing that helps is thinking of it as rust, or burnt orange or quinacridone gold (which is basically pretty orange)... the tricks our minds play on us, eh? In any case, the delicate botanical stamps and vintage images here are perfect with the postage stamps and rolled beads to add detail. Absolutely beautiful work as always, Diana.
