Midnight Garden Tag and WOYWW

I've been on a bit of a roll with these garden tags - I love the garden at night and this is another play with my favourite tag stamp (the other two are here and here).  I've enjoyed gently playing at tag making while my hand recovers but I really should move on to birthday cards soon as October is a hugely busy month in our family and I'm currently crafting quite slowly!

I'm linking up with Julia this week over at WOYWW

  2. Ooh, those little glimmers of gold are magical amidst the midnight colours - and I love the ghostly white-embossed flowers too. Another tag full of enchantment. Hope the card-making goes well - but don't pressure yourself - they'll manage with shop-bought if push comes to shove!

  6. I always admire the delicate little details in your creations, Diana - I also like how these tags are a shorter variety - they allow a different type of composition than regular sized tags. The touch of gold makes it magical! Hope your hand gets stronger every day! These little projects are probably good exercise! Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa #18

  7. That is simply beautiful - I love the almost sombre colours punctuated by the gold details. That would work so well as a miniature pic in a frame. You are so talented Diana, when I grow up I want to craft like you....

  8. Do hope that your hand is improving leaps and bounds each week - don't overdo it please.
Well, another spectacular tag from you. Love the colours you have chosen and I especially like the whit4e embossing with the touches of gold. Truly wonderful.

  11. Gorgeous tag, Diana. I'm glad you're on a roll with your garden at night theme because this has been one of my favourites of yours over the years. This particular tag has an oriental look about it and reminds me of the lovely painted wallpapers you sometimes see in stately homes, with flowers and exotic birds. It's fabulous! Thank you for your lovely comment and I'm glad you enjoyed reading about my hubby and me! The "Glad it's a girl" joke has lasted well over 35 years, hasn't it!! Do you remember last year when I found that lost book on the stall at the village fete, and I realised it really was mine when I flipped through the pages and my hubby's card fell out? It was a "Glad it's a girl" card, of course!!

Thanks for the suggestions re the bleaching of the tea bags. Not sure if they will work because I have to bear in mind the final use in the project (more to be revealed in due course!) but I am sure I'll crack it in the end. I will certainly be sharing how I managed it. I won't have any time to pursue it further till next week as I've got things on over the next few days but it will give me a chance to think about it at any rate.

    Happy WOYWW,

  14. Exquisite, Diana! I love the Oriental mood, and all of the amazing detail, including that delicate little gold border on your mats! Gorgeous colors, and of course composition - just marvelous! I echo Alison to please not overdo - you could readily put one of these on a card front with a sentiment and call it done, or make these the "card" itself. Or store bought, for sure in a pinch - family of all folks should understand that! Meanwhile, thank you for posting so I can luxuriate in your beautiful work.... xxx Lynn

  16. You could turn any of these stunning tags into birthday cards for October so your exquisite detail could go watered and unadmired but rather shared around many to see in cards, love this one your eye for detail is amazing. I’ve nearly always made tags into cards.
Happy WOYWW. Thanks for sharing, Shaz in Oz.x #20
