Wednesday disappeared from my life last week, somehow I skipped from Tuesday to Friday! I've been busy selling my painted bobbins but haven't done any arty craft stuff for the last couple of weeks, so I'm showing some things that were sitting on my desk just before Christmas but I couldn't show them then - I stole a rock from my sister's front garden and painted it for her as a Christmas present!
And this is a gift I made for a friend - a bundle of cards she can use throughout the year. They are individually on my Tags and Cards board on Pinterest for anyone who would like a closer look!
I'm linking up with Julia over at WOYWW this week.
Despite restrictions I hope you had a good Christmas and New Year,
and are staying safe and well.
Your sister’s rock is lovely, you can come and steal a rock from my garden anytime:). Love your card selection too, your friend must have been happy with those. Happy WOYWW Angela #10
ReplyDeleteWhat brilliant presents! I’d love a box of cards like that, perfect to have have something lovely that’s useful too! And the painted rocks are gorgeous too, you have such painterly skill which is why your bobbins are selling like hot cakes! I’m glad you’re ok, I don’t where the days are disappearing to either.....

Oh dear, I tried rock painting earlier in the year, it was NOT as easy as I thought it might be and I produced nothing as elegant as this! I think a set of cards is a lovely gift. I will have so many cards soon I think at some point I will see if I can oull a few cohesive looking sets out so I can gift them. Thank you for your kind thoughts and earlier visit. Happy WOYWW, stay well, stay safe, love n hugs Cindy #14 xx
ReplyDeleteThe rock is beautiful, what gorgeous painting - I thought they were actual leaves stuck on. You are so talented. Love the cards too - both lovely gifts to share with people who mean a lot. I always think something where it has your time in it is more precious than something bought commercially.

ps back just the same, will always be but I do my clearing in bits and pieces between the bouts.

ReplyDeleteIt’s took me a bit to get here because I’ve been looking at your Pinterest boards. I do love what you create Diana.
ReplyDeleteI was looking for your painted bobbins but can’t find them. Would it be possible to see them.

The rock looks fantastic! as for the cards, they are all stunning. I shouldn't really have bought the blue journal (been resisting for ages but keep watching you tube videos where I am inspired...) I have so many empty or part used.... ah well! tis a done deal now. Helen #4
ReplyDeleteThe rock is gorgeous and the cards are all stunning! Happy WOYWW. Take care and stay safe. With love & God Bless, Caro xxx (#13)
ReplyDeleteHi Diana, beautiful painting on the rock - I think a few painted rocks would look perfect around Mr M's waterfall - maybe a project for me for the summer (if we get one). The cards are fab, a lovely gift - I may do something similar for my daughters). I have less call for cards at the moment, as I'm working from home, so not making any to take to work to sell for charity. I do enjoy making them though. I'll check out your Pinterest site too. Have a lovely week, Heather xx #18
ReplyDeleteDiana...ugghhh, is there NOTHING you lay your hands to that isn't blessed???? LOL I love your creativity and it doesn't matter what, it's always gorgeous!! Those rocks are stunning and don't even get me started with the cards! Simply beautiful!! Hope you will be getting back to creating soon and here's to a fabulous new year for you! Stay safe and healthy! Felicia #33
ReplyDeleteOh what super presents, your painting skills are amazing and I love the layers in your cards. Thanks for the visit BJ#6
ReplyDeleteGorgeous painting of those leaves, I am sure she didn't mind you stealing them after all ;) Lovely card set I am sure your friend was thankful for the gift!
ReplyDeleteLovely to be able to see these now... and what happy recipients they must have made!! The painted stone is just wonderful, and the cards will go on making other people happy throughout the year, I'm sure.

Your sister's painted rock is beautiful Diana, as are the cards - a thoughtful and useful gift. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #3
ReplyDeleteFab presents Diana - isn't it a wonderful thing to be able to share your talents with people who will love them. xx Jo
ReplyDeleteLove those painted rocks, where my family live they painted rocks and hit them for others to find, the kids loved it and it went on for a couple of years.
ReplyDeleteStay well and safe,

What gorgeous cards, Diana, and the painted rock is brilliant! I am sure that both these gifts will go down really well. Thank you for your visit - appalling that your hubby's medicines should have been packed so badly. My wools were safe inside the rather squashed box and no damage done, but we've had some pretty ropey parcels in the past that left a lot to be desired!! So glad you like my rainbow jumper, and you are right - the kitties have us well and truly twisted round their little paws! They definitely "own" us and not the other way around!
ReplyDeleteHappy belated WOYWW,

Hi! I found your Pinterest board so I can follow you ~ Your cards are beautiful! Your Fall paperweights are wonderful too ~ Enjoy the weekend! Love, Karen#30
ReplyDeleteI wow, those rocks are really beautiful, as are the cards!! Sorry for being late (the deskers-list is long and I visit a few per day) Have a great weekend, stay healthy and safe! Love from the Netherlands, Marit #31
ReplyDeleteI’ll have to find some to put in my garden, but when I know you’re coming, you have permission to take any number of rocks for eventual return! The cards for your chum are gorgeous, she must have been made up. I did something similar as hostess gifts when we went to the US to visit my sister, glad I did because she carted us around loads of friends, but really, they weren’t up to yours!
ReplyDeleteI love the rock, there was a 'thing' going on a few years ago where people painted their rocks joined a local face book page, and asked people to find them. Haven't had anything back for almost a year, I often wonder what happened to mine! Of course I was out every day walking dogs then and would find them quite easily. Yours are beautiful...wouldn't hide them outside! Your cards are great too! Sorry I'm so late! Happy WOYWW!? Stay Safe Keep Crafting! ((Lyn))#21
