Black, White and One Other Colour

It has been such a sad week, hearing the loss of Shaz Silverwolf, and I am sending love and hugs to all the deskers who are feeling heavy of heart this morning.

I have done a little crafting this week, having been inspired by the current
Tag Tuesday challenge to use black, white and one other colour only.  I decided to add bright green to the mix.

I quite liked the colour combo so I used it to make a little Valentine card for
the Hubs.

I'm linking up with Julia over at WOYWW

  4. We are all feeling sad this morning, Shaz was an amazing crafter and completely fab person. I love those tags, the single colour way really works and it was inspired to make a Valentines Card that way.

  5. Such a good combo - You are so clever at combining colours perfectly. Maxine has that talent but sadly not me! As grandma used to say "It wouldn't do for us all to be the same!" (She lived to be 100 so I guess she knew) xx Jo

  6. As always Diana, your tags are classy and beautiful. I love how you put in those extra little touches ie on this occasion with the fabric additions. Good too that your Valentine card for the other half came from the same idea - always good when that happens.

  7. Heavy of heart is exactly the right words, it's been such a difficult start to the year and with the news of Shaz now another crafty angel in heaven, I hope she is watching over us calling us all silly sausages and to carry on crafting.
Beautiful detailed work Diana, you always bring a sense of calm to my creative door allowing me to catch my breath for a moment, Thank you. Take care Tracey #3 xx

  8. Your designs always look so stylish and tasteful, Diana - the simple color scheme works well and so refreshing to see a valentine card that's not red! It will be difficult to accept that Shaz is no longer with us :( Take care and thanks so much for your visit earlier. xx zsuzsa #31

  9. Oh, and thanks for the tip with the tea bags - they are probably too dark for tinting - I will try unused bags (and brew the tea separately!) I find the herbal ones sometimes change colour - my hibiscus bags turned an ugly shade of grey from a lovely pink when I used gel medium on them! Trial and error, really, but unused teabags should do the trick!

  10. Hi Diana. Yes, that green really does go well with the black and white. A colour combination I don't think I would have thought of trying out. Love the two tags - and the valentine card. Well done.
    Take care. God bless.

  14. Hi Diana, the black, white and green certainly look striking. I have never thought of limiting colour in such a way - but I'll definitely give it a go. Have a lovely week, Heather xx #19

  15. These tags are brilliant, I bet, if you make a really lovely one, you keep it and never use it, just in case the receiver throws it away! Stay Safe, keep crafting! WOYWW? ((Lyn)) #13

  31. What beautiful tags, Diana, and what a lovely card for your hubby. Such an unusual and striking colour combination, and I do love the addition of the ribbon.

What a sad, sad week. How we shall miss our beloved Shaz! I still can't get my head round the fact that she has gone. I wrestle emotionally with the unfair lottery of cancer - we both embarked on the same journey at roughly the same time, and look at us both now... It's hard to deal with.

    Have a good week.
