It finally happened last week - I was wondering when I'd feel the panic coming on and sure enough I went to bed last Tuesday feeling fine and woke up last Wednesday hardly able to believe I was half way through December and nothing had been done.
Consequently the following 5 days were spent planning and making Christmas cards, gift boxes and tags, putting up the trees and decorations and Christmas shopping (the safer way, on the internet!).
I am confident my nephews and brother-in-law will not be looking at my blog any time soon - in fact, I'm not sure they even know I have one, so I'm safe to show the gift boxes I made for their cash and gift cards.
The detail in those little boxes is wonderful - what a lovely gift - I would have to save it from year to year! xx Jo
ReplyDeleteWell, I think those little gift card boxes are amazing and I love all the detail and colours, really beautiful! I had a present panic a couple of weeks ago and had a mad 24 hours, all done now though!

ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit. Your boxes are just precious. I no give the 6 grands money in some ornate package also, even the 3 girls in Germany (Mail costs so much and son stated no gifts it's a 2 hr wait for him to pick up packages) Spent 3 hrs getting ready for a storm I hope don't happen ! Cat carrier, shoes, coats, flashlights, keys, water, chargers, all in our safe place basement. So enjoy your creations, ENJOY the Hustle and see you next week.
ReplyDeleteI am having a panic right now about present buying, a friend bought me something after I thought we had agreed not to bother with the problem of getting something to one another. Not a clue what to get her but it has to be mailable. Also got to buy my hairdresser something so we have come away (don't shop in home town as hardly anyone wears a mask - 5 out of 8 on Sunday at 10 am in a shop we went in did not wear masks) to shop. It's a good excuse for a couple of days by the sea. (and called in the supermarket here and not one was not wearing a mask).
ReplyDeleteLove your gift boxes, what beautiful colours you chose. That blue is perfect and the black of the branches works so well against that backdrop plus the berries stand out beautifully. I like just the simple deer, it says Christmas doesn't it!
Hugs, Neet 6 xx
The gift boxes are super cute Diana. Hope you managed to get everyhting sorted. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #4
ReplyDeleteLovely blue/black/silver colour scheme - makes some very unique gift boxes! I'm glad I'm not the only one leaving things until the last minute - and I must say, I'm always glad that I only have a small family to cater for (literally and figuratively) at this time of year. I think I would crack under the pressure if it was any bigger! I don't have to think of second cousins twice removed LOL (or something along those lines) - some people revel in having large gatherings, but I don't. Here's to a happy and quiet Christmas! xx zsuzsa #17
ReplyDeleteIt’s been such a busy day for me (it started at 8 am with my first of many customers). I’ve been head down sewing all day but have stopped to eat and blog now.
ReplyDeleteI really love your gift boxes....gorgeous designs and colours

ReplyDeletethose are terrific, you work well under pressure
ReplyDeleteAdorable gift boxes Diana. I'm only really learning Hebrew new as I did the others in school but they are helping me with the game side of Duolingo. The Welsh for ironing is pronounced smooth-e-o it's tickling me pink! Hand therapist did love her card and angel and it was only my last session as I was only authorised 4 on my insurance. She wants me to see the consultant again before doing any further sessions with me as my wrist pain/soreness may be another issue which has surfaced. I've got authorisation to see the consultant again and will leave that till the New Year, hoping time will do it's thing in the mean time as my wrist is still a bit swollen (3 months too!!!). Thanks for your visit BJ#20
ReplyDeleteI hope they appreciate those little works of art Diana - beautiful! I hope you have a Merry Christmas!
