I still can't get to my desk this week, but a crafty/woolly sort-out is taking place from my armchair!
My yarn baskets are stuffed to overflowing, and my studio is still full of boxes waiting to go back into the eaves. During this chaos and with the merest tap against the baskets, I've managed to send balls of wool rolling all around the limited floor space, channelling quite a few along the narrowest of gaps to hidden corners of the room. It's one heck of a job to find them all and even now I suspect some are still lurking under my desk and cabinets!
The plan now is to reorganise, rewind and hopefully reduce the quantity in each basket so it becomes less precarious and more manageable - definitely an 'in front of the TV' job!
Good job no pussycats were on hand to make matters worse heehee.
ReplyDeleteWhat glorious colours , so bright and cheerful.
The clothing company Toast showed an outfit this week describing the colours as Nasturtium and Saffron. Now I’m going to have to delve in my wardrobe to recreate an outfit of my own. I love the sound of the colours together

Hi Diana, the basket looks so pretty and the yarn colours have set me thinking of a new project. It made me smile when you said it was one tap that sent them flying though i wasn't smiling yesterday when I did the same thing with some tiny resin fillers Hee! Hee! Have a great woyww. ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous juicy colours of yarn in your basket.

Well that’s a good job to do! It’ll be so easy to see what’s what after you’ve finished and is satisfying in the process. I love the hot pinks and oranges together, a very Indian combo in my opinion!

Don't those colours look lovely in your basket. Mine are stuffed into clear plastic bags - colour coordinated of course, but not nearly so attractive! xx Jo
ReplyDeleteMorning Diana. Most definitely - hope you have a good tv programme in mind! Sorting yarn is always such fun - all those colours and textures. Enjoy finding all the balls behind boxes...
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.

What a beautiful basket. is that a doily you have used to line it? It is far too pretty to have it put away, such pretty colours. You made me smile when you said about the little balls rolling away, good job you don't have a little cat around or that would have been playtime for a while.

Thank you for your visit. LOVE the texture and colors of that fun photo. WoW. I think we reorganize and sort out as a hobby. It seems like it's all I do. BUT keeps me informed of inventory !@! Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteHope you can find all your missing balls .. such pretty spring like colours. Have a good week Helen #5
ReplyDeleteLovely colours, bright and cheerful. If it wasn’t for the dust they would eventually collect, they would look nice left in the basket. Angela #9

Well, those colourful balls of wool will brighten the greyest of days, even if they do pop up in unexpected places (or maybe especially then...!).
