I finally have access to my desk after a few weeks of major sorting and clutter clearing! I have nearly finished making a card and gift envelope for my brother-in-laws birthday tomorrow - on the desk is the envelope nearly done after some pre-breakfast additions this morning! Leaving it to the last minute has certainly upped the stress levels!
I also have some lovely new stash on my desk, courtesy of Julia's Forsaken Stash blog. I just couldn't resist them and as I haven't purchased new stash for such a long time I really enjoyed getting these beauties through the post!
Good morning Diana. The card made for your brother in law looks to nice to give away. It must have taken you ages to create. Lucky chap, he’s sure to like it.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new stamps. I’ve indulged this week and I’m now awaiting some new threads. Making the water soluble bowls uses up so much of them

Hi Diana, thanks for the lovely comment over at mine. I am so in love with this envelope design it's just gorgeous. I am wondering whether that's a stamp you've used or your own work? it's a beautiful image. Clutter clearing then more stamps sounds good to me. Have a lovely woyww. Hugs Angela x10x
ReplyDeleteWow, you certainly gave lift to that envelope with watercolors! Very lovely!

You made it on your intrepid journey to the desk, congratulations - I’d ay that was more epic than intrepid for we are not natural sorters and clearers…I think your success was very much down to the forethought involved in putting it all in the way of your desk to begin with! Beautiful design on the envelope, it must have taken hours. A dear friend of ours gave us the walnut tree from her late fathers garden and while Bart did all the hard work of chopping and planking, I wondered round and found random baby walnut trees growing in unlikely places. The house and garden were slated for a building site and we came home with a couple of bits of tile with a walnut sapling growing from a mound of moss….still going too, according to the friend - your painting immediately reminded me of it.
ReplyDeleteI’m rather late getting round today as I’m still playing catch-up from my 6 hours spent correcting my errors.
ReplyDeleteThe envelope is stunning...you are so clever.
Hugs,

Your watercolor is amazing! I've been wanting to get back in to this again. Happy WOYWW from #23
ReplyDeleteOh my the gift envelope is AMAZING! Is it all freehand painting? Glad you are back at your desk after the mammoth sort out. The bowmaker is on my desk just a slab of white plastic with dowel holes and moveable dowels to determine the width of the bow. Wrap the ribbon round and tie a usual knot in the middle. You can use a fork or anything you can lodge somewhere to keep still whilst you wrap the ribbon etc... Think I used pencils before I got mine. Thanks for the visit BJ#11
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty watercolour painting on your envelope. A beautiful subject and so tastefully done. Is there no end to your talent Diana?
ReplyDeleteYour stamps look brand new, I guess they were unused ones.
Have a great week and stay safe and well
Hugs, Neet 1 xx

Hi Diana, the artwork on the envelope is amazing - I'm sure it will be much appreciated by your brother in law. Well done on the decluttering - I had to do some major decluttering over Christmas - and re-arranging, and now can't find things! Have a lovely week, Heather xx #2
ReplyDeleteAmazing work on that envelope. How fun to get the new stash. Have a great week. Sharon #25
ReplyDeleteOh wow that is one special envelope, piece of art all its own.
ReplyDeleteI do like to be ahead on my birthday cards but life sometimes gets in the way and I have to work under pressure.
Hello Diana, the card for your BIL looks fabulous, perfect for a male recipient. I've almost given up making birthday cards over the last two years, but the truth is I've given up a lot I used to do. My energy levels have been severely depleted. Enjoy your new stamps and have a great week. Elizabeth x #22
