This week I finished a sketchbook page in celebration of these pretty little winter flowers that are blooming my garden at the moment.
I have one small group of Snowdrops and I'm hoping they'll spread - they originally came from a friend who has sadly passed on but I have so enjoyed making this page and thinking happy thoughts of her.
I'm also getting stuck in to another wintery page - I'm being drawn to that soft sage colour lately - not a go to colour for me usually but I'm enjoying it and will be using it until I've worked it out of my system!
I love sage, to me it is a real classy act when used like you have used it and that journal page is fabulous! I think that would have to be framed and hung, it is so lovely.
ReplyDeleteSnowdrops, and your page, just beautiful. So delicate with their drooping heads, it makes for another lovely journal page. Keep at it Diana, I love the way you work.
Have a good week.
Hugs, Neet 1 xx
Gorgeous work, I love that soft sage colour, it really appeals to me. The snowdrop is beautiful, did you paint it directly onto the page or did you cut it out and collage, it’s hard to tell but it really works!

I managed to pop by but leaving a generic comment as too much typing is still challenging. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #4
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work and I am a green girl so that's a perfect colour, in fact I have just bought a new duvet in the sale- pure cotton with a lovely watercolour effect in shades of greens. 🙂
ReplyDeleteWhat a superb page! I am not into journals but that page is a wowser! Love it.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week

ReplyDeleteLove that sage colour, it is so gentle. Both lovely pieces. Take care Angela #18
ReplyDeleteTotally delightful page Diana, I love snowdrops, and we seem to have a shed load in the garden this year. The more so as I cut the ferns back in the summer from the drought and again before the snowdrops sprouted so there seem to be more than usual this year. Love how you have incorporated the book words vertically and the hexagons too. It is all most delightful. Hugs BJ#12
ReplyDeletewhat a lovely way to remember your friend's gift of snowdrops! Its lovely to see you crafting again. Happy WOYWW and thanks for dropping by. Helen #2
ReplyDeleteI'm rather late in the day doing my visits...it's been another busy one for me.

Hi Diana, I'm back. I am loving your journal pages. We have lots of Snowdrops scattered around part of the garden. If they are like ours they will spread. We only had a few to begin with then hubby had to dig the area scattering the soil around after finishing the job and the snowdrops quickly settled and started spreading. Good luck with yours. Wishing you a lovely woyww creative week. Hugs, Angela x9x
ReplyDeleteI love your pages, I love snowdrops, they are the first to pop up in my yard every year! Lots of texture on that second page, fun! Thanks for your visit, Lindart #19
