I've finally got round to finishing the little 'foggy garden' embroideries that I was making in my last post and I've attached them loosely to my sketchbook - I'm not yet sure if they will stay there or if I will do something with them.
Not a desk shot but this is a corner of my studio that just had the late evening sun hit it while I was up there - it made the glass jars sparkle so I grabbed a photo before the sun went down completely.
I'm joining in with Sarah over at WOYWW this week.
So lovely to see you on the desks today, I always know I’m in for a treat when you put out a new post! Love those little embroideries, you definitely have to use them somehow as they’re so pretty and delicate. Even your shot of your studio corner is artistic, very atmospheric!

The embroideries are gorgeous but how many half made projects have I got waiting to be completed. I even have some from when I was at college that I never felt were completed but mounted them anyway and still feel I would like to go back to them. Love the photo of your desk too. I don't really find that resin is messy to work with as long as you are well prepared when using it and have a bin close by as I get through a few gloves when I'm doing it and you must remember not to scratch your nose Lol! This is the biggest piece I've done and do usually work smaller which I would advise to begin with and of course the resin is different. Take care and have a lovely woyww, Angela x6x

ReplyDeleteDiana, I love the photo of your corner with the glass jars. How beautiful does that look! It makes me want to look closer and wander in your studio.
ReplyDeleteWell, I don't know what to say about your embroidery. It is exquisite! I love how delicate it all is and just the tiny tinges of colour! It makes me sort of speechless. The third one, the line of trees, just got to me as I came on the page but then I found all the others and the world suddenly became tranquil and almost at a standstill. They are too beautiful to keep in a book or a drawer, you really should display them in a frame, perhaps two groups of four but then thinking of past posts you have so much that is crying out to be displayed. Your work is just beautiful as what you do.
