Happy New Year! We've avoided the snow thankfully but it's been windy and cold so I've been staying warm indoors and getting a little bit of crafting done.
Before Christmas I made a silver pendant as a Christmas present and also another one as a commission from a friend of a friend, so as the kiln needed to be fired up it seemed a good idea to make a couple of pieces for myself too!
I forgot to photograph the first two pieces what with so much going on - I was just relieved to get them finished in time and boxed up! However, I've just finished polishing this one for myself and I'm pleased with how it came out. I would have preferred a slightly different stone to the white Moonstone on the left but that is all I had in my stash that toned with the Labradorite and Hematite. It was taken from a mould of a rough concrete surface and is chunky at about 4cm wide.
Love the new silver pendant, just my sort of thing but the grid collage are a life saver for me. When I get stuck for ideas and Mr Mojo goes walkabout I turn to this and it's so relaxing and comes together without hardly any brain effort, love it. Wishing you a very happy and creative woyww, Angela x7x
ReplyDeleteReally love the grid collages. What size are they? Happy WOYWW. Angela #13
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Diana! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas, wishing love, peace and happiness for 2025. I love that chunky pendant, the texture and little stones are perfect and I rather like the little white moonstone with the other two. Those painting/collage grids are wonderful, you make it look so easy but I know how tricky it can be!

Ooh, that pendant is gorgeous, didn't know you worked with silver clay. Something I once thought I would try out but it didn't amount to much because of the firing. I must dig out my moulds and see what I have - I remember an Egyptian one I particularly liked.
ReplyDeleteJust love your little collages and can well imagine how calming they must be to make but what a gorgeous page they make in your book.

Oh what a delight to find lots of comments when I woke up again this morning. WOYWW is certainly my "constant" at the moment and I thank all you lovely ladies for being there for me, I am blessed.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pendant and super landscapes too. Anxiety is a pickle I spend a lot of time convincing myself why I shouldn't do stuff/go out. I pray your struggles fade away too. Hugs BJ#3
Happy New Year Diana. I do love seeing your artwork. Your attention to detail is wonderful. Silver clay always amazes me. The pendant is so textural and I do love the moonstone. That bright limey green is perfect to lift a dull cold day.x x Jo 🌈

That's a beautiful pendant Diana. The mini landscapes are spectacular too. Looks like the crop will be the 10th as people don't like the idea of travelling at the BH. It would be lovely if you could make it. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW Sarah
