Focus On Life - Getting Outside

This week our challenge over at Focus on Life was to get outside and focus on the change cooler temperatures bring to our surroundings.
I took this photo this morning at our local beach - that's the Isle of Wight in the distance.  After what has felt like weeks of torrential rain today we finally saw a small window of opportunity to get out and enjoy some sunshine - it was cold and blowy but very refreshing - in fact I much prefer the beach in the winter rather than the summer!

  1. I like our beach better in the winter also, but mainly because it is over run with tourists in the summer. Glad you had some sunshine, it makes a world of difference after a gloomy period of time.

  3. Beautiful photo Diana. Where I live the water no longer moves. It is frozen.

  6. What a gorgeous photo! My hubby, son and I keep saying we are in desperate need of some beach time. But, none of us are real hip on cold weather or cold water/beaches, so a summer-time beach w/warm water is more our speed. (yes, we are super-wimps, for certain!!)

  10. What a stunning photo! There's nothing like sunshine and blue skies to pick you up after days of wet gloominess. I hope you get a good break from the rain.

  11. Gorgeous photo of your beach in winter! Even on a winter day with snow on the ground here, the blue sky and sunshine makes it a wee more more tolerable.

  13. I like your beach shot, I too prefer winter time on the beach or somewhere north where the cold water keeps the over abundance of people. (more room for me to wander:-)

Hope you're doing OK - the south coast seems to be getting the brunt of it...

  17. What a beautiful picture, I want to be there! So nice you're close to a beach, I just crave the ocean sometimes. At least we can get to it in a couple of hours from here, so I shouldn't complain too much!

  19. Ah, outside... I think I remember what outside is like. It's been too cold and wet here to spend much time out of doors, so it's very refreshing to see your beautiful photo on the beach. Winter beaches are much quieter than Summertime beaches, aren't they?
