We are currently living in utter chaos, with the living room being gutted and totally re-done, but this week I managed to do a tiny bit of crafting so I'm joining in with WOYWW.
My nephews just love Halloween - perhaps it's in the genes as they are half American! They love anything scary and ghostly, and they always call on us for trick or treat. I decided to make up a bag of 'grown-up' chocolate for my sister (rather than the eyeballs and gooey brains the boys usually have) - I made a gift tag for it, and also crocheted a little pumpkin brooch for her, so when they all came trick or treating she had a little something for herself!

I need to get more of the black leaf ribbon - I just love it, but I didn't have enough and it looks a bit sparse on the tag - I would love to have draped it around extravagantly!
Wonderful Halloween tag!

What a wonderful treat! I love your tag and I love that black leaf ribbon. I have it in a lot of colors but not the black! It looks great for Halloween! The little crocheted pumpkin is just adorable. I love the whole treat, Diana!

What a lovely seasonal gift. I love the little crocheted pumpkin. A lovely little keepsake after the chocolate is gone.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, your sister is a lucky girl! The whole package is just perfect, that little pumpkin brooch is precious. I hope you had a good time - it rained here and we had our first fire and got lots of trick or treaters so I was in heaven! Thinking of you with your living room chaos, I know you enjoy chaos just about as much as I do.
ReplyDeleteHope your chaos is soon a distant memory!!!! Bet it is going to look lovely!
ReplyDeleteYour sister must have loved her Halloween package.... it is so darn cute!

ReplyDeleteYour sister is a lucky girl! Such a pretty tag. I bet she's glad she got chocolates and not brain goo...
ReplyDeleteSorry I'm so late in commenting. I like to comment on all of the posts but there just aren't enough hours in the day...
Thank you for letting me look over your shoulder.
Have a good week.

Great tag and the little pumpkin brooch is gorgeous. Thank you so much for the visit and happy crafting, Angela x 40
ReplyDeleteI don't "do" halloween, but that black leaf ribbon is gorgeous. I've never seen anything like that before. I thought it was die-cut paper to start with. Do they do it in different colours?
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely comment, and I'm so glad you like the seaside-themed page in my album. I've now completed the 3 Scottish pages (I think - if more photos turn up I may do a couple more) and I've had such fun doing them because they have brought back so many really happy memories of holidays up there.
Things have quietened down chez Shosh these last couple of days, but from past experience it's not likely to last. The situation isn't easy and Mum can be extremely difficult and it puts me under a lot of stress. Going in my ARTHaven is enough to reduce that considerably - even before I sit down to do anything! It is certainly proving itself to be a wonderful Haven!
Happy belated WOYWW,

Thanks for your return visit, Diana, and for the info about the leaf trim. I am so glad you like my Scottish pages! I am very proud of my Scottish heritage so these pages were a joy to do, and I have now added the Clan Fraser crest on my blog! Like you, I love thistles - beautiful yet strong, and resist being downtrodden lol! I have the last remaining liqueur glass from a set of glasses that belonged to my grandmother, in the shape of a thistle and I love it.

awesome Halloween tag and brooch. I bought some green leaf not long ago but haven't seen the black. I have a use for it so I am going looking. Have a great week. Vickie #68
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, am I really so behind that I missed your Halloween tag? I love it though, and your little crochet pumpkin brooch!
