Winter Garden Ring Box and Paper Artsy

As soon as Paper Artsy announced that their next challenge was to create a piece of miniature art I knew what I wanted to do - I have a collection of old ring boxes and I wanted to make a winter garden with one of them!

I used old linen, twigs from the garden, pearl beads and matte glass beads, seed heads, wire with beads on the end, and a vintage pearl button.  I also used a little Treasure Gold around the edges of the ring box and on the twigs to give a soft shine when the light catches them.

More of my Winter Garden art can be seen here, and why not pop over to
Paper Artsy to see their beautiful and inspirational miniature art - I was inspired by the little village on a rock, and I wanted to create my own tiny individual world.

  18. Thank you for your return visit, Diana, and for your comment - I am very sorry to hear that you also have had your surgery postponed. This seems to be happening a lot at the moment. It's quite bad enough having it cancelled the night before, but we had almost completed the admission process and I was not far off going down to theatre when we were told it was all off. It was a horrendous experience. I am now back in Limboland, and haven't even got a date... I cannot settle and am feeling quite depressed and anxious, and my hubby is telling me these days are for us to rest and relax and prepare. I felt better over the weekend because I knew nothing could happen till today, but now I am sitting on top of the phone and wondering what's going on - will I have to wait days, weeks or months? I hate this uncertainty. It's an awful feeling, isn't it.
