A mossy garden embroidered on a teabag!

I am linking up with WOYWW - why not pop over to see what other people have on their desks this week!

  1. Oh Diana, another tiny gem! This is so exquisite. At this rate you are going to have a complete record of your beautiful garden in art by the end of the year. You inspire me to return to my teabags as soon as I get the opportunity!

    Happy WOYWW,

  4. On a teabag ?
As in a bag to make tea ?
    Not heard of that before.
Looking forward to seeing it finished :) #31

  7. I just love what you're doing with tea bags, Diana! And the garden/nature theme is my favorite! I love moss and you've managed to capture it so well with fiber! I love that you're working in a series.

  8. I love what you've been doing with tea bags! This little garden is beautiful with its stone labyrinth and abundance of moss :) Your freeform embroidery is so beautiful, and it really makes me want to touch it!

  10. It looks just like moss does when you see it through a lens...all the tiny little fronds bits and pieces. So absolutely stunning....Sandy's right...inspiration for the day :-)
    Hope you are ok,

  12. Thank you for your lovely comment, Diana - I'm glad you like my little lavender bags. I am just carrying on spreading the chemo love - I received my chemo quilt from America today and will be posting about it soon! It all helps make the unpleasant more endurable, doesn't it!! As for my bee stamping, I've got an acrylic block marked in squares and I lined up the stamp as accurately as I could on the block, and then used the lines on the block to line up with the previous stamping, if you see what I mean. Normally I'm utterly hopeless at lining anything up accurately!!! I love those bee stamps and it's nice to have the chance to use them on fabric for a change.

I am determined to make the best of the good days! I am feeling wiped out now, because we had a busy day yesterday and today my sister came for lunch, so I shall rest a while now and maybe do some more sewing later if I feel up to it. I run out of steam very rapidly!! My birthday was great, even if celebrated in a very quiet way! Next year it will be different - I am quite determined about that.

  14. I can't believe the detail, the density, you manage to get on a tea bag, wonderful as always. You must have great eyes! How did you get that pattern on the teabag, stamped?

  15. Hi Diana happy WOYWW - I know I'm late-ish but some days one has other things get in the way. Your embroidered teabag is amazing...I love the earthy colours, just beautiful. Cheers RobynO#32

  20. Wow, Diana - such yummy greens here, and LOVE that stone labyrinth!! If I ever do travel over the pond, I am going to request a demonstration of your incredible embroidery and beading....I absolutely adore the textures you get in these little gems! Look forward to seeing how you display or otherwise congregate them - such a wonderful visual record of your garden! xxx Lynn

  23. You are so kind and thoughtful, Diana, saying I needn't reply, but I simply had to - thank you so much for your lovely encouraging comment! I am so glad you like what I've done. Each one has been such fun to do and I've thought about who might receive them and that's made it even nicer. When I went in yesterday for my chemo, I showed the receptionist first because I wanted to know whether I'd made enough and how many patients would be attending, and she was so overwhelmed with them that she called all the nurses over to have a look! I couldn't believe the response I had from everybody, recipients and nurses alike, and it made it all 100% worthwhile! I am determined to do more, but not to pressurise myself to do something every 3 weeks because I have to rest. The next project I am planning is chemo angels!! I'm feeling much more poorly after treatment No. 2 and am taking things really easy today. In a week or so I shall be feeling much better again, so I'm hanging in there and just going with the flow.

Thank you for all your kind thoughts!

  24. Thank you for your very kind, and greatly undeserved comment, Diana - I hardly class myself as an angel! Talking of angels, I made a little naked angel tonight from needle felt, yet to be finished and dressed.
