Some pages from my Midnight Garden sketchbook.
My favourites in the garden at the moment are Poppy seed heads, Bracken (a vigorous invader from next door!), Fennel and Agapanthus.

Pen and ink drawings - silver moonlight and soft shadows
I'm linking up with WOYWW - why not pop over and see what other people have on their desks this week!
GORGEOUS!! I can see those as fabric designs funnily enough. I think you should be designing for Colefax and a Fowler or someone! A soft chiffon type fabric, perfect for a drapey top....am I convincing you yet?? Lol
ReplyDeleteI hope you're ok, Diana, it seems ages since we got soaked in Salisbury :-). A lot has happened since then and I'm running to keep in one spot so to speak. I have hardly made anything...am hoping the creative muse will kick me up the what's it very soon!
Hugs, LLJ 12 xx
I think so to Jan x
DeleteBeautiful, dreamy pages. I'm with Jan. This would make a beautiful fabric! I would love to slip into it after a long stressful day.
ReplyDeleteSo delicate and ethereal.

ReplyDeleteSilk and satin comes to mind Diana. Wouldn't it be wonderful to own some lingerie or nightwear in your designs.
ReplyDeleteLynn xx
Stunning watercolors! I'd love a silk scarf with that design. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting.
Have a good week,

ReplyDeleteI agree with LLJ, these pen and ink drawings would make a lovely design for fabric. Your photography is always brilliant. Happy crafting

Oh Diana, does your talent never end? These are simply stunning! So delicate and beautiful with the lovely watercolour effect.
ReplyDeleteI decided after all to join in WOYWW this week, a bit late in the day, because although I'm not well enough to be in the studio and there's nothing on my desk except a dumping ground, I've done a bit of "adult colouring" and thought I'd share that instead! A blast from the past, colouring in lol!
Happy WOYWW,

Lovely to come back and take another look at your beautiful painting again, Diana! Thanks for your visit, and I'm glad you liked my colouring. Housework? What's that? Lol!! I know what you mean, though, you can get totally carried away with things like the colouring books and the hours just fly away! Thanks for your very kind words. I'm not as bad this time - noticing a difference today with the reduced dose, which is a good thing. Poor Shaz, she is not in a good place at the moment and I so feel for them both!

Gorgeous Artwork Diana. Sorry to let you see the cartoon stamps, very naughty of me Heee Heee!
ReplyDeleteHave a good woyww and happy crafting, Angela x 22
I can see then as fabric prints too! I love watching how nature inspires your creative twists and turns.
ReplyDeleteLove these! Wonderful soft colors really feel like nighttime, and great sketchy feel to them - yes I must agree, they'd make gorgeous fabric!
ReplyDeleteLovely sketches - envy your talent here! So glad to see the Night Garden series continuing...such a pleasure to view and imagine! xx Lynn
ReplyDeleteI always love seeing your contributions to WOYWW Diana, I bet your garden is an amazing place! This is just stunning like always! You are so talented! Hope that one day you will give us an overview of all your Night Garden again, it would be amazing to see them all together!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in Australia I got some "sun dies" inspired by your work, I can't wait to experiment with them at some point soon....
Oh those are totally beautiful and LLJ and Tilly are right - it needs to be fabric! x Jo
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, just beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteIs it really 2 months since I commented or did I just miss this one? Truly beautiful pen and ink drawings and the touches of colour perfect. Heavenly! Ruth x
