Not much on my desk this week, some printing onto the silk I eco dyed a few weeks ago, and some more pages from my sketchbook.
Thermofax printing - supposed to be the night garden in the moonlight but looks more like frost and snow! Will have to re-think that one!
The lighting somehow turned the black butterfly and lace into shades of brown - but I rather like it anyway!
I'm linking up with What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.
Amazing what light does to black...I love the effect! As for the moonlight...it works for me, although I do think that moonlight is pearly and ice is slightly sparkly, so maybe I'm not the person to ask...stuck in my ways!
ReplyDeleteWhat on earth is Thermofax printing??! It gives a great result whatever it is :-). That browny black lace and butterfly work for me, such a beautiful combination!
ReplyDeleteHope you are ok...been a crazy couple of weeks for me, but I'll email you later.

Oooooh Diana.... More utter gorgeousness. I adore the "black" butterfly and lace - very subtle. As for thermofax printing, that's another new one on me! You certainly do have some unusual techniques up your sleeve. I shall hop off and look that one up. The effect is most interesting.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely visit - so glad you like my little purple box. Nice to use up the boring old stash, even though not much of it remains recognisable but that doesn't matter. Yes, the light at the end of my treatment tunnel is definitely getting bigger and I'm really counting down the days now. I had such a lovely day today enjoying the visit of a friend I haven't seen for ages, so no studio time today. Rather tired now but well worth it.

Oh I love that black butterfly! As for the thermo printing... I've never hear of it and can't say much other than, yes, it loo, s a bit like snow etc, so perhaps you can pencil in some shade/shadows..
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting earlier,
Lisca

ReplyDeleteThermofax printing!! I'm off to Google it! Whatever it is I'm curious your results are intriguing!
ReplyDeleteI love the butterfly, just so beautiful and the silk prints are gorgeous. You work is stunning. Never heard of the Thermofax but it produces great results. The only thing I would say for moon light is there are a lot of shadows but I love yours how it is.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week,
