I've finished off a couple of small collages which threatened to hang around unfinished throughout the coming year,
and that's me finally done with Christmas stuff!
and that's me finally done with Christmas stuff!
I had a lovely surprise right before Christmas when a little parcel arrived from my very good blog friend Lynn over at One I Made Earlier Today -
she had sent me a pack of beautiful postcards depicting different plants used for dying, with information and dye recipes on the back of each one - they are gorgeous and inspiring, and I think the Cochineal card is my favourite - who could resist those dear little embroidered beetles!
Thank you so much Lynn!
I'm linking up with Julia over at WOYWW this week.
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and I wish you a very Happy New Year.
Happy New Year, and I love your postcards. Am hoping to stop sneezing long enough to make some birthday cards today. Helen 5
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love your vintage postcard collages, especially the delicate wildflower stamping - wild flowers and grasses are one of my stamping obsessions - and the beautiful detailing of the stitching.
ReplyDeleteHope you get a chance to check out my PapaerArtsy round-up... you're featured!
Happy New Year!

Thank you for visiting my blog, Diana, and I'm glad you enjoyed my post! Whether I shall keep to all 10 resolutions is another matter... As far as the art is concerned, I've been doing some little Zentangles to go in my album - small, but it's a start. Thank you for your kind words - we are certainly hoping for better things this year but my hubby has to have a colonoscopy on 19th... We're hoping it's nothing but one can't be too careful.
