Not much art going on this week as we are decorating.
However, I needed a tag for an engagement gift and this is the end result.
The background is clear embossing and distress inks, and I was very pleased with the flowers I made from scratch - I found the idea for them through Pinterest and a blog called Such a Pretty Mess. I made up my own flower centres as I didn't have the right punch but I think that makes them more unique!
I received the prettiest little ATC this week too, from Fiona (Staring at the Sea) - the background stamp is just fab and is now on my wish list, and I just LOVE the little seed heads - another obsession of mine! Thank you Fiona.
I am linking up with Jan, who is Julia for a few weeks, over at WOYWW.
Loving the tag and blown away that you created the flowers. Ahhh pinterest how much time do we spend ohhing and ahhing over the stunning pics. But I still think your art is the most stunning.

Absolutely gorgeous, Diana. I love the colour scheme - the contrast between the apricot and the greens and blues is fabulous. Beautiful flowers, too. I've just got my cutting machine going again so hopefully I'll be making my own flowers again soon, too!

ReplyDeleteOh my gosh - how could you ever settle for pre-made flowers again - those are amazing!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting....I'm late but Life just keeps me hopping in the summer. Thanks for sharing the lovely little ATC..it is a delight ! and I love the tag lots of interesting elements/textures to make it fun. Enjoy a lovely weekend
ReplyDeleteThanks for your return visit, Diana, and for your lovely comments about our garden. Yes, it's starting to look great, and it's such a lovely reward and encouragement to my hubby for all his hard work. Hopefully the weather will buck up a bit soon and we can get out there and enjoy it! I've been struggling with my cutting machine and there's been correspondence going back and forth on the forum, and gradually the problems are getting answered - not only is it several years since I've used it, but I am now using it with my Mac so that's a whole new ballgame to learn. The machine is behaving rather strangely and until it's sorted I can't finish my project which is a new baby card - I fear that the baby will have started school before he gets his card at this rate lol! These things take time to iron out but we'll get there in the end, I've no doubt. It's been a very busy time recently and I haven't had much time to devote to it.
