Halloween Tag

I know I'm late with this but thought I'd share it anyway.
I made a Halloween Tag to go on some fancy chocolate to give my sister when she brought her boys round Trick or Treating.

I rather like the way the flowers and die cut twigs have a spidery feel - or perhaps that's just a vivid imagination!

I wanted to say thank you to everyone who offered good wishes for the speedy recovery of my Guinea Pig Archie last week - he is still doing well and hopefully will be back to his old self very soon!

I'm linking up with Julia over at WOYWW this week

  2. I thought it was a spider at first. Only you could produce a tasteful Halloween tag lol! You will notice I have changed my profile from Fuzzie Fingers as I am in the process of changing to a new blog and branching out with a Facebook page.

  7. That is a stunning tag again with all that yummy texture on the 3D elements. Love the strong contrast between the orange and the black. Give a little hug to Archie from me - just don't squeeze too hard! It must be quite different handling a guinea pig than a larger pet. I remember when Oreo was tiny, I was so worried that we might step on him or sit on him. I'm still worried because my husband never looks where he sits just plops himself down and Oreo - being black - can really blend into the background in the dark! Thanks for visiting earlier! Wishing you a lovely week! zsuzsa #30

  11. I'm not into halloween, but you have certainly done an excellent job on this tag, Diana, and executed it very well. I am also definitely NOT into spiders lol!! I'm glad to hear that Archie is making good progress. Guineas are such sweet creatures! Thank you for such a lovely comment - you are very kind! I've got a lot to learn about drawing/painting shiny objects and struggle with the different way of looking at things, but practice makes perfect, and I'll get there in the end!

I have had some very nice feedback from the hospital staff etc. about my attitude - fortunately I am blessed with a quirky sense of humour that allows me to see the funny side of lots of situations, and I have made an effort over the past couple of years to hone this to help me keep my head above water in what could have been an overwhelming situation. I am very, very grateful for all the help I have had, and feel extremely fortunate to have done so well, when others have not - my heart goes out to them in their struggle. Being positive and keeping a sense of humour really do help one to get through things, and they help others too, because nobody wants to be invited to a pity party.

I hope you have a good week too. Happy WOYWW,

  14. Coo, that's a darkly gorgeous tag there - I love all the colours etc that goes with Halloween but detest trick or treating, I'm afraid (Bah Humbug!!). It's ok if it's your family coming around though. Am really glad that Archie is picking up, hope he's charging around again very soon :-D

  15. Hello Diane. I don't do hallowe'en at all - but the tag is very elegant. Hope your family liked the chocs!!
Thanks for visiting and for your comment. Loved your self description of being totally musically challenged.. Made me smile. That's just what John used to say - and suddenly he began to sing in tune - really late in life....
    Take care. God bless.

  16. I don't do Halloween either but I do like the spidery effect with the flower and leaves. You could use that effect for all sorts of purposes.
Hope your guinea pig continues to improve.

  18. Ooh, spookily delicious - love the Gothic text and the subtle black sparkle on the words and flowers and, yes, very spidery twigs. I really love the layered background too. Glad to hear Archie's on the mend.

  20. Oh fun, you completely captured Halloween, and I immediately got the spidery feel - perfect! I can't believe it's getting close to time to decorate for Christmas! It feels like yesterday that I was so excited that I could reasonably be decorating for Halloween.
