It's been such a long time since I blogged, and far longer than I originally anticipated, but what with school holidays, child-minding, summer holidays and trips out it's been a quite hectic and I've had no time for arty crafty stuff. On top of that it's been quite a struggle to get myself back to feeling positive and motivated after a fairly long bout of feeling out of sorts.
Anyway, here are a couple of birthday cards I made - I'm rather keen on the Nuvo Crystal drops I've recently discovered (on the bottom card), they look like raindrops and I am having to stop myself adding them to everything at the moment!

And some close-ups...
Over the summer I received this beautiful pendant made for me by my very talented blog friend Terri, over at art-life-rust. What an amazing artist she is, and how thrilled I was to receive it. Thank you again, Terri - it's stunning!
I am linking up with Julia over at WOYWW, and must just say thank you to all the lovely deskers who sent messages as I was awol for so long - thank you xx
Oh, it is good to see you on the desks again! Funnily enough, I was going to email you as I'd been talking about your artwork at the Crop and how much I love what you create :-). Being out of sorts is horrible so I'm glad you feel better enough to reappear, sending hugs.
ReplyDeleteAnd your work is still GORGEOUS!!!

ReplyDeleteHow lovely to see you back - it sounds as though you've had a busy summer, but in a lovely way. I hope your creativity will leap back into full action, though it seems in pretty good shape with these lovely cards. Stunning flowers, and all your trademark delicate touches. Why should you stop yourself using the raindrops if they make you happy? They look just lovely!

Hi there! Glad to see you back, and sorry you've been out of sorts - I know the feeling well! Your cards are gorgeous of course - anyone who receives your cards is very lucky indeed I always think. Thanks for the shout out, a nice surprise to suddenly see the pendant there.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're starting to enjoy Autumn..
What a treat to see this post come into my email! I've missed you, and at the same time am also AWOL from my blog, for much the same reasons.... absolutely love these delicate but still substantial cards. As always, your color palette stuns me - combinations I would never think of that look fantastic! So glad you are well, and hope the rest of your autumn goes smoothly and craftily (is that a word?!) xxx Lynn
