Boxes and Fun and WOYWW

I've been absent from blogging for a while as things have been crazy over here.  My step son and his family have been visiting England for the first time since they moved to the US over 20 years ago, and of course it was the first time the children had ever been over - we had such a lovely time with them.
To give the girls a memento of their holiday I made two little envelope boxes that held a silver pendant for each of them.

These are the front of the boxes...

...and the back of the boxes

Just when things were feeling a bit dull and the family had returned home to the US I received some lovely happy mail - an ATC and pretty card from Shaz in Oz arrived.  I love the green background, such lovely subtle blended colours that really make the black flowers pop, and the card is made from an original card and photo by Margaret - what a gorgeous image of the bluebell.  Thank you so much Shaz.

I am linking up with Julia over at WOYWW this week.

  1. I'm glad you had such a great time with the family - those boxes are amazing, bet the girls loved them! And how lovely to get the ATC when you were feeling a little flat after all the excitement - the perfect pick me up!

  4. Those packages are incredibly wonderful as are all your creations Diana, I really love the very very English detail you’ve used on them! Well done.
Am I ever glad one ATC made it to UK. Thank you ever so much fir sharing it Diana, as I forgot in my hurry to mail them to take any photos, now that’s a real irony! Think I should’ve been in less hurry. The strange thing is yours was mailed same day as Anne’s and the ones to Jo were mailed more than a week before. It’s really most perplexing! However can’t be helped, if they’re meant to arrive they will, in the right time! and very pleased yours arrived at just the right time too, what a blessing of the Lord. 😊
Happy WOYWW. Thanks for sharing, Shaz in Oz.x #20

  10. Oh my gosh Diana, those boxes are amazing, gifts in themselves. They'll treasure them forever I'm sure! I remember going to England the first time when I was 13 (I loved it so much) I still have my mementos from that trip, but nothing like your boxes!
