In stark contrast to last week I am so pleased I managed to work out what day of the week it is today so I can join in with WOYWW!
I have been quite busy this week but did manage to find time to make myself a pincushion. I was taught this Cathedral Window patchwork technique by a friend back in March and the one I made then was rather too vivid so I've made a more neutral coloured one - it matches the colours in my studio much better!
I have some old antique photos I stamped some images on a few years ago and they've been sitting in a box doing nothing ever since - so they are going to be my UFO for next week - now I just have to find them!
I hope you are all keeping safe and well.
A beautiful pin cushion Diana. The colours are so classy, I love the neutral tones. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #11
ReplyDeleteBlimey, I made a few of those in the dim and distant past, in fact I've forgotten how to do it! Yours is beautiful with those subtle colours, it's very you!

ReplyDeleteI do remember your "vivid" pincushion and thought it was stunning at the time. But, I have to admit this one is gorgeous and as always beautifully photographed with the special Diana touch. Stay safe and look forward to the UFO next week.

I’m excited already to see the images on the photos! Love your pincushion, using neutrals is a skill isn’t it. I end up going bright because well, I can’t help myself and it’s less scarred!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous pin cushion. Happy belated WOYWW. Take care and stay safe, with love & God Bless, Caro xxx(#6)
ReplyDeleteI remember the bright and bold pincushion (did you ever find any green ribbons for it?!), and it was lovely, but I have to admit this one is more in my colour comfort zone! Elegant and pretty - it seems almost a shame to stab it with pins!

So sorry I am so late mainly because of the computer - now got a new one - yeah - someone turned up trumps and bought me a new one. Am I spoiled or what?
ReplyDeleteLovely pin cushion, very cleverly made - you are so talented in so very many ways. Looking forward to seeing your work next week.
