It's the 12th Anniversay of WOYWW this week - what an amazing achievement, and huge thanks and appreciation to Julia, our host over at the Stamping Ground. It's still the amazing, friendly and fun group it was when I first joined in 10 years ago.
Last week I started hand embroidering a couple of ATC's for this week's celebratory swap but it took me so long to make two that I had to forego that idea and re-think the plan. All ATC's have been re-thought and made - amazingly for me most have been posted - and the embroidered panels are very slowly becoming card toppers!
Such a lovely thought but I can see how time consuming it would have been - still, it makes a lovely card topper so not is all lost! Thanks for the inspiration, friendship and general desks shenanigans!!

ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful Diana. I can see they will have taken an age to make.
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary and have a good week.

Such beautiful embroidery, Diana, but I can see it would have taken a very long time to make. Make sure you take a detailed photo of it though, that would make a good ATC on its own.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind comments in your earlier visit. I’m happy to swap ATCs with you. My email is Lmcollis@icloud dot com
Take care and happy WOYWW anniversary!

I can see how that would have taken you forever to create even ONE of those incredible beauties. The on you shared is incredible. You always make the most beautiful and incredible art. Happy 12th Anniversary from # 10.
ReplyDeleteI am just so excited to be getting some of your artwork of any kind . The embroidery looks so intricate no wonder you went with a different idea happy woyww xx Helen #11
ReplyDeleteHello Diana ... thanks for popping by my blog earlier & for your kind comments. I'd love to send you an ATC - are you on FaceBook? Message me your address if you are or we can do it via email?
ReplyDeleteYour embroidery is just beautiful! Love to you from Debbie #14 xXx
Ha - it sounds like we both had to rethink our original plans - that's creative activity for you! I love the white on white pieces. Happy 12th anniversary! Annie and I have just had a coffee to celebrate and sort our ATCs to post. xx Jo
ReplyDeleteHi Diana, I’m so excited to be getting an ATC from you because your work is so beautiful. Jo and I are sending our ATCs together and you’re already on our list. I’ve tried to email you several times and it simply refuses to send so just send mine to Jo’s address with hers please or email me at wipso2310@gmail.com and hopefully I can then reply to your email.
ReplyDeleteHugs,

They are absolutely beautiful but I think you'd have to start now for trading on the next anniversary! I really do love the natural colours and textures you use. Anyway, happy anniversary! Lisa-Jane, #2
ReplyDeleteThey would have been lovely Diana but very time consuming, perhaps you should have started them last year! I'm sure what ever you came up with will be wonderful. Have a lovely creative WOYWW Anniversary. Hugs, Angela x25x
ReplyDeleteI don't blame you for changing your plans, Diana! It would have been a huge amount of work to hand embroider all those ATCs - and practically impossible in the amount of time available! I'm sure your alternative is just as gorgeous! I was actually going to make mine all a bit different (as per the trials) but then decided to make them all the same - so much easier and takes the guess work out of who to send which! Glad it has arrived safely! I'll watch out for yours! Happy anniversary and thanks for your visit! xx zsuzsa #17
ReplyDeleteWow! I can see how that would have taken forever - they will make gorgeous card toppers though. Your beautiful ATC arrived today and is gorgeous. Thank you. Happy 12th WOYWW Anniversary. Take care and stay safe. With love & God Bless, Caro xxx (#15)
ReplyDeleteHey, me again! Post just came with the most gorgeous ATC I've ever seen! I knew it was going to be exquisite but it's beyond that! Thank you so much and the sunrise postcard of the pier! How atmospheric - if you remember I was there on holiday with my family in 2016 and you mentioned about getting the ferry from the pier every day to work! Not your average commute for sure! Brings back lovely memories for me too xx
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful work, but very time consuming. Happy WOYWW Anniversary, Angela #23
ReplyDeleteHi Diana. Happy anniversary. Oh my - what a beautiful thought - but you would have been sitting there for SO long! Glad you have found another way to use your beautiful embroidery.
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.

Oh my that is just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOn checking seems as if my comments have gone awol. I would hate not to comment on such an auspicious occasion as today.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely atc those would have made but how time consuming it would have been to make all of those. Much better to have a rethink and use these for special cards in the future. Gosh you are talented in so many ways.
Happy Anniversary!
Hugs, Neet 1 xx
Those beautiful embroideries will make stunning card toppers Diana. I can undersatnd why you rethought the ATC idea though. Stay safe and happy 12th anniversary WOYWW. Sarah #9
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary!
ReplyDeleteThose beautiful embroideries would have made wonderful ATCs - but what a time it would take to make them!
Happy WOYWW!

Diana, as usual, your embroideries are gorgeous and will make lovely toppers! You are such a talented lady!!! Thank you for stopping by my desk with your sweet comments as always!! Blessings to you! Happy 12th and I look forward to 12 more! LOLOL Have a wonderful rest of your week! Felicia #34
ReplyDeleteYour white-on-white embroideries are gorgeous, Diana. A shame they were too much work for ATCs but they will make beautiful card toppers. Thank you for your lovely comment - so glad you enjoyed seeing the completed projects. I'm coming to the end of the first motif for the new throw, which is exciting. I am sure I will get quicker once I've done a few. The kitties love the new kitty throw, and of course, so does my hubby! He is thrilled with it and it's lovely looking over and seeing him sitting on it! (that is, when the kitties can be persuaded to move...)
ReplyDeleteHappy belated WOYWW,

Hi Diana, happy 12th Anniversary. Oh my, I can see why it would have been too time consuming with the embroidered panels - but don't they look beautiful! I am sure they will look exquisite as card toppers. As always, your work is to be greatly admired- you are such a talented lady! Have a lovely week, Heather xx #20
ReplyDeleteHi Dianna - thanks for popping over - Beautiful embroidery - Happy Anniversary - I am so far still not getting any crafty stuff done - but its nice to see others are. See you at next WOYWW Cheers Maurs xxx #26
ReplyDeleteOh my word Diana! they are lovely! show like you to hit on an idea and not take into account the hours you’d have to spend! thank you for the ATC, it’s a beauty, that teeny tag makes me smile because there is no way I could have edged that with krypton and written a number in it without smudging one or the other!!
ReplyDeleteThose are so beautiful Diana WOW :) Happy Anniversary! ~Stacy #35
ReplyDeleteDiana they are beautiful and will make beautiful cards. Thank u our for your kind comments on my blog. Anne x 30
