I finished making Christmas cards last night but I still have several things on the go at the moment - I'm working on three little garden landscape collages (nothing to do with Christmas!) based on some of the mini collages I've done over the last few months (see here) - I rather liked the colours and knew I wanted to continue working in those sorts of shades.
In the background some Christmas coasters are drying after having their last coat of varnish - I decoupaged them as small extra gifts for some family and friends. What the picture doesn't show is almost every pot of glue and paint that I own
were used as stands for this mass varnishing event - 24 coasters in total! I really should have put the sewing machine away to give myself more room but it has been taken out as I need to make a pair of curtains - if I put it away again they'll never get made!
Beautiful coasters. I have a few sets of coasters I bought at charity shops for “doing something with” which of course I haven’t done anything with 🤣. Happy WOYWW. Angela #12
ReplyDeleteI totally go off Christmas whilst I'm making the cards, it's nice to do something different! I'm off to look at the coasters now. Happy woyww Helen #2
ReplyDeleteMisunderstood where the coasters are , doh! I blame the snall screen im using . They are fab but it was nice to read back over their inspiration!! Helen xx
ReplyDeleteThe coasters are lovely. They're a great idea for a little extra gift and everyone needs coasters. I use the plastic support cones for holding artwork, very useful. I can understand you not putting the sewing machine away, it's too easy to deside to not bother with the next job Lol! Wishing you a good week and a happy woyww. Hugs Angela x11x

I love your coasters, how many did you make in total? I stamped and painted one but never sealed it so wondering what you used on yours?
ReplyDeleteLove your garden collages, you always make the prettiest of these type of things. Did you dye the fabric or did it come like that? I am excited to see the end result on these.
Hugs, Neet 1 xx
It's good to have a few projects on the go. I'm a real butterfly and flit from one activity to another. Today I have mounted pictures, begun to knit a jumper and finished off some Christmas cards. I'm never bored. I love your little coasters - a great idea for little gifts.x x Jo 🌈
