Finger Paint Collages

I've just finished off two collages that have been hanging around half finished since October.  The prompts I've been following are from The Collage Workbook by Randal Plowman.  This prompt was all about adding finger painting to a collage.  

And now on to the absolute disaster that is my desk this morning - it's very unusal  for me to have anything on my desk as I always clear away as I make - but yesterday I decided to use a stamp for an idea I had.  Despite the fact my stamps are all catalogued and can be found by drawer number and then inside the drawer by a specific box number, the stamp I wanted was missing.  I couldn't find it anywhere so decided to have a combined search and sort out of all my stamps.  This is drawer 1 and I have a small pile of stamps 'to go' by my radio and an overflowing box of stamps that I don't know if I want to keep or not but will probably let go.  I can forsee regret in the future!

The catalogue pages are bottom right and new pages are being made with tiny stamps that I never bothered cataloguing in the past - after all if I'm doing this ghastly job I might as well do it properly!

A Tidy Desk and WOYWW

 It's been an unproductive week craft wise but I have finished sorting through my textiles and pretty much fitted them into the space available - now that's something that doesn't happen very often!  This shelf unit is at the end of my desk where a large trunk of fabric used to stand with a vintage suitcase and decorative baskets on top of it.  Consequently the trunk never got opened as it was such a faff.  This doesn't look as stylish as the trunk but is much more user friendly!  Each box is labelled and despite having a massive clear out you can still see that two large pieces of fabric wouldn't fit anywhere so are wedged around the boxes (top left cube) and the lid won't properly fit on the decorative box (top right cube) as it is stuffed to capacity!  However it's hugely better than it was so I'm happy!!  The tall pile of plastic boxes next to the shelf unit are all for different ongoing projects.

And here's the most boring desk photo you'll see today!  You can see the A1 cutting board and where it  buckled along one edge due to heating something with the heat tool and forgetting to use the heat board - I turned it around and then did exactly the same thing to the other edge - soooooo annoying!

My Untidy Desk and WOYWW

 You'd think, wouldn't you, that having shielded since March and been in one long lock down that I'd be sitting here in a beautifully organised and freshly decorated home, with a large pile of hand made cards written and ready to post and all the Christmas presents wrapped?  Well you couldn't be more wrong - I'm making and posting about 4 cards a day and I'm still waiting for presents to arrive from on line shopping so I can wrap them and post them out to people.  I haven't even started on tags yet and the house is a tip - although that doesn't really matter as we won't be having any visitors!

Here's a shot of my desk that you won't normally see - the white tablecloth has gone and it's covered in clutter!  I've had some orders for bobbins which need to be painted, varnished and spangled (beaded), hence a tin of varnish, 2 boxes of beads and a cup of ready-made spangles, plus painting and card making equipment.  What a mess - I find it stressful working in such a small space but for once I really can't keep putting stuff away between tasks- those bead boxes are far too heavy for a start!
