Another entry for the Paper Artsy Challenge and still being inspired by Leandra's video and the Adirondack Colorwash sprays.
Moss Garden teabags sprayed with Adirondack 'Espresso' and 'Lettuce',
then rusted and sprayed again.
I used invisible thread - it's springy - so the beads stand proud of the work,
like the tiny flowers on moss.
Springy beads for a Spring project! Stunning as always Diana so many wonderful textures here and i do love the tea bags. Thank you for such amazing inspiration :-) xxx
ReplyDeleteI think the rust looks amazing along with the green. That effect would have looked good on my rusty boat in my latest WIP
ReplyDeleteThe loops of invisible thread and the floating beads was a great idea.
I would love to touch these Diana. Your work has such a tactile quality. That lettuce spray is delicious. What a colour!!!
ReplyDeleteDiana, your work leaves me speechless......exquisite... tiny pieces of stunning, tactile ART!! Ruth x
ReplyDeleteI'm completely with Ruth above, another real wow factor project. Those mossy patches look just so real! Love the rust effects and oh those springy little beads, so clever!
ReplyDeleteI love the rusted look and the beads standing proud on these gorgeous pieces of art! You just continue to amaze me, Diana, with your beautiful work.
ReplyDeleteDiana, how great they look. The colours look great with such depth, anything the colour of Moss makes me happy, just wonderful~
ReplyDeleteOk, they were really pretty with the green background, but I think I love these even more! Very naturalistic with the earthy brown background and splatters. And I love your little flowers or spores that you've made with the beads :) Have you ever used any of the sprays by Lindy's Stamp Gang? They have a line called Moon Shadows that is walnut-ink based, with a different color shimmer powder in each variation. Mystic Malachite, this one: http://www.lindystampgang.com/mystic-malachite/, is gorgeous because it's got that mossy sort of tint. You might have fun with their sprays :)
ReplyDeleteYes! Exactly like the little flowers on moss. I love moss and lichen :)
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a good day. The sun is shining here now..... just did a couple of hours weeding..... now I am recovering from my efforts!
