Spring Garland and WOYWW #310

I needed to get this out of my system.
I've had the flowers and berries in my loft for several years and
have been wanting to use them - but no idea for what.
Now I have no idea what to do with the finished garland!
But I feel better having 'scratched that little itch!'

I'm linking up with WOYWW - why not pop over and see what other people have on their desks this week.

  1. This is a beautiful color combo for a lovely wreath. I'm thinking of spray painting a grapevine I have had in storage forever..have a new dark door and need brightness. Will have to see when the weather clears up. No loss I guess if I don't like it. I'm DOWN SIZING....too much stashed away. Happy WOYWW

  12. Blimey, Diana...you have some weird itches to scratch. But keep on doing it because that wreath is completely gorgeous. Wouldn't it look fab at a wedding? Those soft colours would be perfect!
Btw, I keep meaning to tell you.....at least four or five people have stopped me at checkouts/in the doctor's surgery, out walking. Why? They've all commented on that beautiful hare brooch you sent me, which I have on my lavender coloured denim jacket permanently! I love it so much and so do random strangers apparently!!! So, another enormous thank you for what was a lovely surprise. I still treasure it :-)
    Hope you're feeling well,
    Hugs, LLJ 18 xx

  14. That is gorgeous! You certainly have an eye for color and design with flowers. If you don't want it hanging in your home..maybe take it to a nursing home to 'Spring up' their common area? Thanks for sharing :) Shel @ PaperOcotilloStudio

  15. How funny, I know the feeling! That's usually what stops me from making bigger items. It's a beauty though - surely there's a spot somewhere!

  18. Well, Diana, I should say that was a very satisfactory scratch for that particular itch lol! It's beautiful, and what lovely fresh spring colours.

Thank you for your lovely comment, and I'm glad you like my seahorse ATC. I am no longer drying my teabags on watercolour paper because I've done so many that I am fast running out, so they are drying on the sink in my studio now - very boring - you can still use the kitchen paper, because you can tear it up and apply it with gel medium etc. I've made quite a bit of "hand-made" papers this way as I always save my kitchen paper that I use to mop up inks with - I have several on the go for different colours. You can pull the plies apart and get double for your money (cheapskate Shoshi). Sometime I must get down to emptying all my dried teabags and start making art with them.

Thank you for your good wishes for my chemo - I've got a prelimary "chat" appointment on Monday morning and we'll take it from there. Not sure what sort of delivery system they'll give me yet.

  20. I have NO idea why I can't get my comments to post to you, but this is the third time I've tried. Basically, what I've said is that I love the garland and I would gladly hang it on my front door. it is truly beautiful.

Thanks for the earlier visit. Happy WOYWW from #9.

  21. Oh Diana, this is just another gorgeous and beautiful creation! The soft roses are so pretty and the colour combo is divine! Like others have said, it would look stunning anywhere, why not hang it on your door when Summer has arrived...?

  22. Oh if you lived near, I would take that beautiful garland in a heart beat, not for free, of course. The colours are just so beautiful and would brighten up my front door. In fact, this weekend, I shall go looking for something similar for that door. Love what you do~

  23. That wreath is just lovely, Diana. Well done for doing it when it has sat there waiting for so long. I, too, have "unfinished symphonies" - ie. bits bought then not done with yet!!!
Thanks for the visit - and the understanding. John's arm is heaps better - almost right again - just these classes to get through - gym time for him!!! No idea how he will cope - we shall see.
    Take care. God bless.

  24. I love how you use your stash! And so glad to hear I am not the only one with items in a holding pattern....your garland is luscious in texture and color, lovely just to look at without any particular purpose. I love your second set of tea bag makes for Paper Artsy also (I am a bit behind in looking around online obviously!) Just admire your skills and talent so much, Diana - always such an inspiration! xx Lynn
