I've been embroidering the garden again, and using more of those tiny little vintage photo album pages! I also used eco prints, black lace, antique tapestry and hand beading. I'm pleased with how the black lace and dark eco print gives it a real night time feel.
I am linking up with Julia over at WOYWW this week.
Oh, it really does feel like the Gloaming time of the evening, when the flower scents go crazy and the bats come out....love it.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing you on Sunday!

This is lovely. I have a friend who does free hand embroidery and think it's such a beautiful thing to do, each one is a one off isn't it!

ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous, Diana - and you are right, the black lace really adds to the atmosphere of a garden at night. I love your vintage photo album pages too - they are a real find. Thank you for your lovely comment, and I'm glad you enjoyed seeing how pretty our garden is looking at the moment. My hubby is so pleased to have all his hard work so richly rewarded. My shoulder is much better, and I agree that the physio may be able to give me some helpful advice about prevention of future attacks, and what to do if it does return, so I have decided to go after all. It's on Friday p.m. I'm looking forward to blogging about my various projects but it will have to wait till after my friend's birthday!!
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW,

It looks so much like clouds floating in an evening sky, about to disappear in the darkness - gorgeous! Wonderful contrasts, the black lace against the tapestry and the beautiful sky. And I just love those old frames - I have one or two left and as always I have a hard time using them!

ReplyDeleteSo perfectly capturing a night garden. I feel as though I could stroll through this card, enveloped in tranquility with only the moon for company.

Ooh this is part creating and part curating - I love it! The antique mounts are so perfect, what a find. Thanks for sharing, Max #19 :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely work as always Diana. I love those photographic mounts as a frame and that black lace really works a treat on the eco print background and I love the effects of the orange beads especially, like little ripe pyracanthus berries. I hope my e mail got through to you OK after all your efforts to contact me and didn't end up in your spam folder! Have a good week, Elaine
ReplyDeleteWow, I can't believe how beautiful this is. I love the way you're always putting together embroidery and paper and found objects and everything. It's so rich, and the album page is a perfect window for it.
